I just saw the below. Anyone purchased anything in the last few minutes? Can you list it back on sale?

"After purchase, this item:
will not be tradable for one week
cannot be listed on the Steam Community Market for one week"

Yes ... bought ~4 days ago Chroma Keys for 2€ > to my knowledge i wouldn't have
been able to either trade or put them on the market. YET i did show not for trade,
but marketable ... > sold a bunch. So my guess was, i overlooked this change.

But I've bought and sold CS GO items within minutes of purchase the last couple of days.

I do know about the trading thing though.

I really only buy cards for sets I want to complete. Maybe it just moved onto even more items, but at any rate, this isn't new.

I don't know about that. I buy skins only.

And its been like that on TF2 for a long while now. It made it really annoying, and I've basically stopped selling TF2 items. A week later, anything can happen to the prices.

Well, it just happened to CS GO a few minutes back, I believe.

The MP7 Armored Core I bought a few minutes before Steam went down can still be listed. I tried listing it for $100 to try it out.

They're probably moving the same system over to other items now. I'm not really sure why they're so eager to kill the item markets under the guise of "consumer protection".

They are just encouraging side trades being made by implementing this sort of dumb system

For example, one could buy tradeable keys on Steamtrades using Paypal and trade them on CSGOlounge.

So instead of topping up wallet to buy things on market, one could use real life money and Steam doesn't get the commission. They are really fucking stupid.

And instead of them getting a cut of the TF2 stuff I sell on the Market, now I just scrap it for metal and trade it for spare bundle keys.

It's more of a pain to set it up outside of steam, so a lot of people won't bother. Also, it's easier to get scammed that way and you can't do anything about it.

No. If you purchased something, you could sell it right away, but it had 1 week trade restriction. Now it seems that it has 1 week non-marketability too. GJ Valve! Killing trading since 2014!

Every card I've bought for the last few weeks has been both trade and market restricted. So no.

Sorry, I forgot to add, that I meant CS:GO items. I bought one for my friend, and while it was sitting in my inventory, it had a big green "Sell" icon, while a red text said that itis only tradable after May 02

As of yesterday this message wasn't shown above the CS GO item listings and I could still buy and sell immediately. Only trading is disabled.

Yep, gonna make the next Steam Sale event really stupid with cards for badges not being tradable.

I love not being able to know what emotes and backgrounds a game has until a week later!

Yep, never gonna touch gems or booster pack crafting ever again with that weeklong turnaround time. They made their money.
