Sorry to say but you have fallen prey to living upto the expectations of the society. You have come to believe that there are certain things expected or normal, and you do it because of that. I just did an essay on alcoholism and apparently most people start drinking because they have an incorrect idea that almost everyone drinks alcohol. Or that most people try drugs in university. What surprised me was that despite being a non alcoholic, I believed the same thing. I had to see statistics before I realized that it was not true at all.
In your case, I would suggest live your life how you want to. If having sex makes you happy, go for it. But don't presume that it's a universal truth. Its not.

What you believe to be true, is definitely not. Nothing you stated is a universal truth. You should rethink things and try to change that "oh woe is me" attitude. Don't believe everything you read/hear/see. Don't fall for society's expectations, because society is an asshole. Be your own person, not what you believe others want you to be. If you continue down the path you are now, you most likely will end up alone... but it won't be because what you stated is true, it'll because you didn't try and chose to remain in a state of ignorance.

That's sad and fucked up. Sex only gets better as people get older (studies seem to support that opinion as well) so there's no need to feel bad about not having any while being young.
I feel sorry for people who feel like they have to do and accomplish everything while they're young because for some reason they think once you get older all the fun stops and you somehow become unable to make any accomplishments in life.

While I am agreeing with gathering as many experiences as possible (in the matter of life, not only sex) I think you have to chill a bit ;)
Yeah, we live in the culture that somehow force sex on us, no matter one wants that or not. While sexual intercourse is presented as gold, wonderful and always awesome life purpose, in reality, it really isn't THAT awesome and definitely isn't the ultimate quest for life. And I'm not saying here that sex is bad, only that overall it's most of the time not ideal and it only one of the whole spectrum of experiences on this planet. And as everything, it can bring regret or anxiety instead of joy.
You are a human, not a factory and you're not wasting resources. The world isn't all about sex, I mean, yeah we reproduce by sex, but hey, so many other things to do! My advice: reroute the energy you spend on blaming yourself to find other experiences and other people. And no, I repeat: it does not define you and does not make you worse than other people. Anyone, who convinced you to think that, is wrong.

Dingbat is right on both points. Getting laid is not hard, if you have the courage to do so. If you have no standards, and only want to get in bed with someone, then find one of those clubs known for attracting people who are just looking for sex. You might not get someone every time you're there, but sooner or later you will.
The question is of course if this is what you really want to do. Will having casual sex with someone you really don't have any interest in talking to again really make you feel better? For some it will, for many it won't, and for some it will be very emotionally straining.
Oh, and do not think your first time will be anywhere near as wonderful as what you've built up in your mind. As Vilk said, quick, weird and awkward is far more likely. And your head will just be filled with conflicting emotions.

People like to be around people who make them feel good. Someone who has a bad attitude, be it towards themselves or others, will make other people feel uncomfortable or just plain bad, so people tend to avoid those with a bad attitude.
On the flip side, having a good attitude towards yourself and others will make you into someone people would want to be around. You don't need to be handsome (though taking care of yourself is a plus), smart or really great at anything, as long as you're someone who people want to be around.
Having the attitude that you'll be alone forever, that will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think you suck, then that will show, and people will stay away from you.

I don't think it's the right topic for this site. not only because it's not really something many people like to see discussed publicly, but also because it's kind of very childish approach on the topic - seriously, last people I encountered for whom it was important how many sex partners they had were people in junior years at my college. Because how does it matter if you had 2 sex partners and I had 5 and this guy over there had 25? Does it mean you any worse that this last guy? Maybe your 2nd sex partner is simply as good that you don't need anyone else and you spend the rest of your life toigether. For example it's interesting to see how different cultures have different aproaches to sex, or even how the place you live in determines somehow at which age you lost your virginity. the truth is than there is not a better option. For some people having on sexual partner in their whole life, that sexual partner being their life partner is perfect. Some others would prefer to have sex with as many people as possible. And in between there are infinite more options, none of them being better than the rest.
Also, as pointed by someone above, sex is important for the psychological well-being of humans.

For some people that's all that helps them... No one is normal... Sure there are average distributions about what is healthy but there are people who are perfectly content and psychologically fit who sleep around and have no desire to do otherwise, just as there are asexual people who need no sex. Then, as a young professional has a one-night stand on average 2 every 3 months. This person finally meets Mr./Mrs right by age 30 and settles down.

20 in freshman year
10 per year the next 3 years of college
ages 22-30 (8 years) at 8 per year = 64

dude i'm like 28 :)) i make laugh just by laughing and sometimes i feel like a shrink because the conversations are one sided and they start pouring everything they feel about the rest of the world. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't smoke or drink and that acts like a gentleman but gets responses such as "I wish i could find someone like you".
