I'm not really sure what kind of rap I would classify that as...so here's some stuff I would recommend:

Cyne (really good lyrically, and I love the beat on this song) - Cyne - Paradise

Brother Ali is always solid, politically minded hip hop - Brother Ali - Uncle Sam Goddamn

Binary Star is actually one of my faves too, though they only made one album back in the early '00s - Binary Star - Wolfman Jack <--this song is about a werewolf killing people in a city :P
This is a slightly better example of their work Binary Star - Honest Expression

Dunno how close these were to what you were looking for, but they're solid places to start methinks

I don't even know how I could've forgotten Nate Dogg. He's old school and mainstream (and no longer with us...RIP), but his voice is so goddamn smooth.

Nate Dogg - Nobody Does it Better

Warren G Ft. Nate Dogg - Regulate <-- G-Funk awesomeness

That G Eazy song is a sample of a song by Grizzly Bear (two weeks)

Here's one by Travis Barker. But this song's lyrics are quite heavy though.

And another from Nujabes. This one right here is my favourite.

sorry for being offtopic, but i dont want to start a thread because of it. if here are some rap heads, from amerika would be nice, could you give me an opinion on these 2 tracks?

i like them, they are the first in germany who actually do this style. i wouldn't say they are biting, but very inspired by some westcoast artists. i'm interested how american rap fans see this. if they like or if they think it's just retarded. because most people probably won't understand the lyrics, it's about g things, but they don't wan't to be taken seriously as gangsters. they say it's about style and flows, and i agree with them, nobody did this befor in germany.

Or Sexual Seduction - Snoop xD

Both songs are beautiful, also Keep Ya Head Up
Some see 2pac as the West Coast Gangsta Rapper, I see him as a poet. (His older stuff mostly)

It may not be quite what you had in mind, but I still think you should listen to this one.
