The native implementation by cg has the advantage that hidden discussions don't take away a cell from the 2*7 most recent ones listed at the bottom of each page.

How about a setting to hide discussions from blacklisted users automatically? And maybe separate comments from them too? (I know it's possible with esgst, but native support would still be nice).

While i can see a benefit to it i would prefer if it would get implemented in a different way.
Like hiding the text with something like "Because of your settings you can not see the the content of this comment" and by clicking on it you then could reveal the content. This way you could choose if you are in the mood to interact with it or not.
Also a function to keep collapsed comments collapsed from season to season would be nice.

You know, some people are able to actually make up their mind, and not being like "what if I at some point I want to see it?". I don't want to see junk in discussions, and it makes no difference to me if that's comment of some nazi or a message "this comment was hidden". It's all the same to me.

Maybe as an option on their profile? So you can choose between BL or full block, which includes BL and hiding/collapsing topics.

Blacklist doesn't always mean you don't like them though. People blacklist for any reason. Discussions and giveaways are different things. I do understand that both sets may share same users but it might end up in unwanted results for many users. Maybe this could be done in another list, or different grades of blacklist.

Thank you. I do appreciate this change - asked for it as well. But I do wish that you would have tried this first before banning all future threads or comments about those two conflicts. Just feels like the cart got put before the horse.

The discussion will not be visible in the discussion summary displayed throughout the site in the footer.
Discussions from unsubscribed categories, should also be hidden there.

A number of users have requested the ability to hide discussions. That feature has been added to the site today. Although this does not resolve our recent concerns about certain types of content, it can be a useful feature to hide ongoing topics that are not of interest to you. When you view a discussion you'll see a new icon in the top right, next to the bookmark button. Clicking this button will hide/unhide the discussion. You can view all discussions that you are currently hiding using the new Hidden link in the left column of the forum.
