Is Castle Crashers of of those games where you need friends to play with for it to be fun?

I think it'd just be harder by yourself.
And more fun being able to socialize with your friends.

Depends on what kind of person you are, I am currently working on borderlands by myself. I like co-op but I don't enjoy most the randoms who enjoy the game so I just solo and its fine. The same for me with castle crashers. Castle Crashers has lots of jokes to make with people and laugh at together, but its still amusing by yourself. It just is better with people

I have played more alone than with players online on the XBLA version, it's still a decent game even when playing alone.

Mostly yea but as every game it's more fun with friends. It's still fun when you play alone tho.
