Hey guys,

I'm somewhat lonely. Friends? What's that? I'd love playing with someone. Maybe Sniper Elite or something. Anyhow, if you ever feel alone, feel free to reply to this thread? I'd appreciate being not the only one.

All the best.

There's the let's play together category.
We can be the last people playing battleborn, if you are bored.

Yeah, the let's play together category exists for these threads.

Battleborn, I'd try the F2P and trade for if you like it.

You have 59 friends on Steam. You must know those people if you claim on your Steam page that you "do not accept random friend invites".

Oh come on, that doesn't mean anything.

What exactly does not mean anything? Your 59 friends or your claim?

I think they mean that you can be surrounded by a lot of people and be just as lonely. I have 22 friends on steam, and over 22+ friends in addition to who I have and know on and off of steam, and those that aren't on steam. You can have friends and not talk to them very often, like me. I'm just saying, you can be lonely despite having a lot of friends. Having friends doesn't mean anything if you don't talk to them very often or even play with them.

It's up to the said user to change their personal life if he is unhappy with what he has. To get off of his butt and do something about it. To visit a museum, a concert, go to a restaurant or a fucking planetarium. There are people in all of those places! And you can talk to them and they can talk to you. It is up to each and every one of us to make our own lifes better. Whining on the fucking internet doesn't gonna change anything.

Personally, as someone suffering from anxiety and depression, I wish it was as easy as you make it sound. I don't chose to whine about it, but I suffer similarly from an issue of loneliness. I congratulate you, however, on having a simpler time in your life with the topic.

There's always something you can do about your condition or situation. Seek medical help, visit a doctor or a therapist, contact a hotline.
And since you didn't seem to get it, I was talking about OP and not about you.

There is so much people who act like they know everything. Medical help or doctors doesn't help shit. I went to 4 different psychologists and all of them gave me just 5 to 10 minutes to talk about my condition and then they asked me some random questions and then they gave me some medicine which they don't help with anything either.
There is no always. Sometimes you can, sometimes you just can't do anything.
What if he has 58 or 150 people in his friends list. That doesn't mean anything, either. I mostly know and talk everyone in my school but in the end I'm lonely and sadly there is nothing I can do about it.
So you people should really think twice about writing stuff or saying things about these sensitive topics.

Well, guess what? Life is hard. So you better prepare yourself for it and do something about it. Because complaining about being misunderstood is gonna do nothing.

Get off your high horse. They way you talk to people you don't know I'd be surprised if you have any friends at all.

The problem isn't what you say per se but how you say it.
People who just hurl out insults or swearwords tend to get ignored quickly.

No shit, Sherlock. We already figured that out on our own. Complaining and explaining are not the same thing. I try everything I can to be better. What I said was it just sometimes doesn't work out. If you really read my comment you would've understand.

Loneliness is not always as simple as just exposure to people. A sense of disconnection is usually more profound than to be cured with small talk or being around strangers for a while. Plus I don't think that trying to strike up fully fledged conversations with strangers at restaurants, concerts or museums would go down particularly well. Small-talk in passing? Maybe, but forced small-talk can serve to worsen a sense of loneliness.

While being proactive in pursuit of happiness is always a good thing, you can talk about this without reductively referring to attempts to reach out as 'whining'. Opening up on the internet is a valid form of attempting to get out of a loneliness kick, and if you actually cared for being helpful on the subject, perhaps you should rethink biting at them for it.

"Do not accept random friend invites" does not in any way imply that a person would know those in their friends list, just that they aren't accepting randomly sent invites. They might be accepting requests for trades or to send/receive a win from SG. Just looking at number of Steam "friends" rarely has connection to how many actual friends that user has.

They new humble looks so fun if you have friends.

Starbound, Duck Game, Magicka, Jump Stars

The only time i've played games with others in the past few years was through discords, but I don't know if I can do that again.

Relevant thread is relevant;
Anyway, a lot of people seem to feel alone in this modern age more than ever. Maybe introverted people are just not forced anymore to socialise with others. Maybe technology is actually an evil instrument invented by aliens to divide us. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway: I see that you own Terraria, that's a great multiplayer game if you can find someone on Discord or Teamspeak to play with!

I'm more like:
Friends (and family) can help you with your problems, but there's no better way to solve them than by yourself. We should solve our problems by ourselves. That gets us stronger and more prepared for the future. Nobody knows how you're feeling better than you. :)

Well, there are many types of friends.
The "friends" that you only talk with when on the internet.
The friends that you can simply go out with.
The toxic friends that gossip you and everyone else behind your backs.
The real friends that are always there for you and ready to support you.
And the best friend (singular, not plural, because there's supposed to be only one) that is like your family and he/she will do crazy things with you, things that you may even be ashamed to do.
For what type of friend are you searching?
Also, I'm not really the multiplayer type of person. We could maybe play some casual together on CS:GO, but only when I feel like it. xD Otherwise, we can play Far Cry 5 together, whenever it gets released. xD

You are welcome. No, I don't really like multiplayer games. I have played some of them, but they're not that much fun when they lack storyline. I used to like Chivalry though, but its devs completely destroy it. I have played some co-op games too though (which had a storyline), hence why I asked if you intend to play Far Cry 5 when it gets released. We could try Rocket League maybe?! I got it because a friend wanted to play it with me, but we stopped playing it because I got bored. I could an exception for you, but I don't think we'll play it really often. xD The only multiplayer games I have installed right now anyway, are TF2 (which sucks, but I need to convert metal), CS:GO (which sucks, but drops items - and I only play casual), and Rocket League (which got me bored, as I said before).

try to play America's Army: Proving Grounds people are nice there most of them are ex army or cops or firefighter which is nice to hear to their stories and usually people who play this game are 25+ boy and girls so you will not see that much toxic things like CS:GO community have
