So, as usual, I got wondering.

What was the last game you beat?
I don't mean actual 100% cleared, just beat.

Two day ago, I FINALLY beat the Ringed City from Dark Souls 3. And since it was with a new character devoted to using one weapon I needed to get from it, I count it as beaten the game as well. Especially since I did an ending I never got before.

So, who's next?

Sorry, no GA at the moment as I have nothing left.

Edit- Thanks to one poster, I should clarify that the game does not have to be on steam. It could be on the PS4, XBone, Switch or other. Even a phone game.

Edit 2- Added in PS5 and Series X games too.

Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy (PS5)
Pretty fun story, gameplay is mostly good but the combat gets quite a bit repetitive. I love the characters and their dialogues though and it's not that long which is greaaat as I started Ghost of Tsushima now and like with most longer/ open world games, there is just too much filler stuff that distracts.

Time Mysteries:Inheritance.
Despite thee "remasterd" tag the game feels incredibly dated, both graphically and in the acting aspect(a few lines seemed to be delivered via TTS).It also gets fairly repetitive by the end, definitely one of the weaker Artifex Mundi HOGs for sure.

I keep a spreadsheet to track this. I track the games I beat, the platform I played them on, # of times beaten, and if I 100%ed them (if applicable). To date, my summary stats look like this:

Total number of games: 930
Total number of wins: 974
Games with achievements: 496
Total Perfect: 414
Perfect %: 83%

🤘😎🤘

Last game I beat was Where The Bees Make Honey on XBox (and I 100%ed it). Right before that, I (finally) finished Life Is Strange on XBox (also 100%).

Ever tried this https://completionist.me/ site? The AGC is not accurate vs Steam tho.

I haven't, really. I've been tracking via my spreadsheet for so long, I wasn't really interested in trying to move over all of that data. Plus, I also track wins on other platforms, like xbox or my phone.

My Big Sister.
Enjoyable game, sometimes it was fairly dsturbing and with a convoluted and confusing plot.It certainly follows the ol' "indie games=symbolism" trend that was in vogue a few years back.
Biggest issue i've found is movement is very janky. It was that jankiness that prevented me from completing a section of the game that led to the true ending.

Amazing & gorgeous game with incredible music. The story mode was surprising with how atmospheric and unsettling it was at times. Wasn't expecting that from a driving game.

It's extremely well-optimized too. You gotta appreciate a developer/publisher that knows what they're doing and takes pride in their work.

Sunset Overdrive.
God DAMN that was a HELL of a ride! One of those over the top games you just love to play.

The humor. The breaking the 4th wall. ALL of it! I loved it ALL! Also, this.

I recently beat Obulis. While it has times to be really good, it also has puzzles which need pixel-perfect timing. Add to that the fact that its puzzle components don't always behave in the same manner all the time, even if they're interacted with in the exact same manner all of the time. It's frustrating.

I've had several levels I had to do over dozens of times, due to the orbs not reacting the way the dev intended. One example is an orb hitting a staircase wrong and stopping, when it should have continued rolling downwards. It also bounces differently each time it's set into motion. That same level expects you to know when this orb will be in the perfect spot, so you can release another orb to get them to hit each other into their intended places on the game board. The wonky physics can screw things up anywhere in this chain of events.

But other than that, there have been a handful of levels that are really fun, even if they are a bit too easy.

The Enemy Within expansion for XCOM:Enemy Unknown.
It is essentially the base game but easier, given you have access to mechs and gene modifications. You can also choose to,throughout the campaign, play the preorder bonus "mini-DLC"(which is now default included with the game) which gives you 4 absolutely busted
soldiers that trivialize the latter third of the game.

The "Rise of the Rajas" expansion for the HD version of Age of Empires 2.Unfortunately one of the campaigns is quite buggy, something that has seemingly not been fixed in the more recent Definitive Edition either.Leaving that aside it was a fun expansion,if easier than the others.

Gothic II: Gold Edition. It's a very difficult game, but pretty good overall.

The last game I played and considered beaten was "CHAOS CODE -NEW SIGN OF CATASTROPHE" - I did not 100% it, but beat arcade mode with all characters and felt good. Compared to technical 2D fighting games such as Guilty Gear, it's a bit simpler, but each character still packs a lot of personality and is heavily reliant on combos, which I struggled a bit with.

Before that, I poured many many hours into Slay The Spire and considered it beaten once I beat Ascension 1 with the three main characters. I know I'll be returning to StS sooner than later - it's an incredible game.

Blacksad: Under the Skin
Purely cinematic experience and I'd say not polished enough to excel at even just that, but I still found the story and setting and characters enjoyable enough to keep me captured until the end. What can I say, I'm a sucker for old noir/crime films heh.

Dear Esther:Landmark Edition
Great visuals and music, however if you got it(like me)when it was free earlier this year for some chill achievement hunting, you'll be disappointed. It's set up horrendously for it.
Being a walking simulator it relies a lot on the feeling of discovery of a first time playthrough, which is usually the only one you do.Here that gets stunted by the developer commentary that you have to listen to,which in turn disables the voiceovers that tell the game's story. So what should have been an hour or two interesting journey turned into 4 hours of at times slog, listening to 3 faceless developers that sometimes fawn a bit too much over their own work, only to end up 2 achievement short(story voiceovers and walk 5k steps). It turns what should be a 7 or 8 little nugget of a game to an average 5/10 experience.

CARRION. It was alright, though the lack of map was infuriating in the labyrinthian level design. Currently playing through metro exodus, loving it so far
