The thing is there's a big difference in blacklisting someone for his opinions and blacklisting someone for inapropriate behaviour. Most of people that blacklisted OP did so not because of his opinions, but because of his inapropriate way of presenting those. There's a difference in saying "I don't really support you. I have a different opinion because XYZ" and saying "You're Sick! Go see a doctor. Fuck you and I hope you die off cancer". ;)

True but i know some people do blacklist for not agreeing with them,i have seen it happen as some people are not shy announcing a blacklist and it was clear it was because they did not agree with what they said more then breaking any rules.I will not say who or where for obvious reasons,and also i did not blacklist them for it even know i did not agree with it.

the "thanks or no thanks" blacklist issue is to stop bots and people who don't read ga descriptions from entering giveaways. noone is arbitrarily blacklisting users for saying thanks, there's always a reason.

the difference is: if person does not say thanks in your discussion it doesn't indicate he's a bot. But if your GA description has "please don't say thanks" and someone enters saying thanks regardless it then does not indicate that he's either a bot or not reading descriptions. This method will not et you catch every bot user but may let you catch some of them.
I personally don't use it as would get my BL full in 3-4 GAs, but I can understand people who do use it.

Regardless of what others say, from technical point of view implementing this feature is not complicated. Blacklist-filtering is obviously in place, since GA-listings use it all the time.
However a community as a whole operates better if such feature is not in place. Secret societies can still form Steam groups and discuss their topics there undisturbed.
