The Typing of the Dead. Bonus points if she's really young and scared by zombies/bad voice acting.

This Z-Type, if I understood correctly. Obviously using the keyboard in the right way, using all your fingers not just 2.

Back in school we always used Mavis Beacon, but my favorite was Super Mario Teaches Typing. It was the early 90s and that was the best ever :P

Wait... is "mechanography" actually a word? O_o

Other than that I have no idea... been typing for so long I forgot how it all started. I'm not sure if it can just be done by going "use this program and you'll learn to type fast", it's something you learn over time.
I'd probably check if she would like programming. Typing the same keywords over and over again is a nice way to see how you are most comfortable with using the keyboard. And you can watch how she writes them and give advice on how to do it better.

I'd recommend removing all the markings from the keyboard. Helps learning if you don't look at the keys.

That sounds interesting ... not a bad idea, thank you

Please don't take them seriously, as they weren't being serious. This would end up in a disaster. New comers NEED to look at the keys in order to memorize what is where. Imagine someone young wanting to find say, the letter b, and having to go through almost the entire keyboard before finding it . . . and then repeating that process for every letter. What a nightmare, for both you and her.

Mm yeah is true, i can do that eventually , covering the letters when she is getting into the process of memorizing them :P
