Sorry, I assumed you meant day when you said time. Regardless of the actual time during the day that they do it, it's pretty much always on the same day. It boggles my mind that people who have been on Steam for years are surprised that Steam is down on Tuesday/Wednesday morning, when it happens every week.

In all the years I've been on Steam there's been about a handful of times where I've run into Steam being down while I've been trying to use it. I would guess that people who get surprised by this even having been on Steam for years are like me in that they just don't end up using it that often when the downtime happens.

Perhaps they already know and just want to tell other people (who maybe don't know yet) on the forum it's not just them. Why does it affect you so much that this thread gets bumped once a week? It usually doesn't stay long and sometimes it's useful.

Oh, right, that must be why there are always multiple posts of people being surprised that it's down, instead of saying that they're aware that it's maintenance. It doesn't "affect [me] so much," - in fact, I don't care if people bump it, I simply stated what I did because I find it silly that every week people are surprised that it's down, when the maintenance happens every single week, on the same day.

But not saying they're aware of something does not mean they're unaware, as you can see above, some of them just want to share the inconvenience of maintenance catching them at a bad time but you can't really know if they're aware or not can you? Also for those who genuinely get surprised, no one is staying with the eyes on the clock and wait for it to happen, some people do something else in the meantime, they get invested in the thing they're doing and simply forget it's supposed to happen, nothing new here. It happens to all of us, for example forgetting to watch a tv show despite knowing it airs at the same time each day.

This year I expect 0.05$~, the last sale some where 7-8c, so this sale will hit 4-5c easy :p

Just have low expectations, cards are really devalued, so more cards = more badges = more mystery cards = more supply, and demand should be the same-ish? But i'll pray too! :p

In the previous sale the cards were cheaper because there was a error from Steam and they released the cards only in the day the sale started, and as everyone knows, in the sale everyone gets 3 free cards per day. Ie everyone selling the cards simultaneously, the price drops. When the cards appear a week earlier, the market move is infinitely smaller.
