It was removed from the store as an individual purchase, it is now only currently available as part of the 1C Action Pack, which is $39.99 in the steam store.

Points have been tweaked for individual games in the past, so it should be possible for this game, too.

I'm talking about the Iron Clads collection (down to 1 point, because of bundle) or Penguins Arena: Sedna's World (also down to 1 point, also only available as collection when purchasing from Steam store).

I played the demo long ago and it was very fun, just be warned; you require an enormously powerful machine, even by today's standards, in order to run with the bells and whistles enabled.

It's even more costly to try to win those giveaways eh?

I see that Cryostasis has just been revised from 40p ($39.99) down to 10p ($9.99). Does this mean that the change will be applied retroactively (that is, contributions are reduced and the point difference (30p) is refunded) back to when the Death2Spies bundle went live? Or will folks have gotten away with taking advantage of the glitch?

One other question- if someone has 2 copies of a game, and creates one giveaway with 2 copies or two separate giveaways with a copy each, the creator's contrib level goes up the same amount, right? It's just that it costs entrants twice as many points in the case of the latter?

another thing strange is that this game has been removed from steam store. The store page is still there but no add to cart button. You can only read or post on forum, and add this game to wishlist, but you cannot buy it? This is my second time seeing this. First time is crysis 2. But this one I don't know why...

Yea, 1C lost the publishing rights to the game, although I don't know why. Perhaps someone can fill us in as to why? The reason the value shot up to $39.99 here though is because there used to also be a "1C Action Collection" on Steam that retailed for $39.99 which included Cryostasis. That was pulled from Steam shortly after Cryostasis was, but because that was briefly the only way to buy the game through Steam, the system assigned that as the game's value.

Now the only way to buy a Steam version of the game is in the Death2Spies bundle in the IndieGala store, which can be had for as little as a dollar. That is probably the main reason you see so many giveaways of the game here now (people looking to boost their contribution total).

Crysis 2 was pulled for a different reason, related to EA's unwillingness to sell DLC for the game through Steam, and Valve's policy that all DLC for a game had to be made available through the Steam store. Hence why Crysis 2 returned later as the "Maximum Edition"- it already included all the game's DLC.

Hitman Blood Money is 80p now. Weird glitch with the system maybe.

Comment has been collapsed.

Yea it's a glitch- $79.99 is the price of the Square Enix Collection, which includes, among other things, all the Hitman games (except Contracts, which is not on Steam). However, the game is still being sold individually so it's strange that happened.

So back to a question in my previous post- Can people take advantage of all these glitches or does their contribution total retroactively get reduced when the value if fixed? Is the difference in points refunded to those who entered giveaways for those games?
