Cross, just to point out, there are games on the dropdown list that aren't available on steam (same situation, steam ready but waiting to be greenlit), such as Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space (can be obtained from an old bundle as well as from a previous Indiegamestand promotion). Not the same situation, but just saying that some games have been added manually ;)

My support ticket currently contains 7 reports, I just checked and the individuals have not yet been dealt with. I'll update my ticket if a user has been suspended, so staff does not need to check him/her twice.

To be real honest it doesn't help because in the end some people are going to do what they want because they think they can get away with it, and I'm sure some already have. If you go to Steamtrades there were already some people trying to trade it.

Many people really wanted to play the game and didn't win, while some fuckers (excuse me) are just taking part in such a giveaway and don't even want the game.
Why even bothering...
It might be just my personal opinion, but dev giveaways should require a certain amount of contribution value to keep those ungrateful leechers away.

Erm ... i might be considered a leecher, if you look by my profile but i gave away stuff here ( on forum ) or other places, since i don't want contributor points or anything else to be shout at with "OMG, you gave only Bundle Packs !!! You newbz!" since the reason behind this is that i can't afford actual games ... even for myself i buy 1$ bundles most of the time. Couldn't afford even the Microsoft Bundle.

Nicely said, even if worded a bit mildly. I hate to think that people who would actually play the game and be grateful for having won it didn't get it in the end due to ungrateful leechers who wanted to trade or regift it. I'll keep an eye open for them, and I hope there's some weeding out.

I would have been happy if you said "We'll dissect your pet frogs, cook the legs for dinner and feed you the entrails", but that would have been politically incorrect. You open with "friendly reminder" and some people tend to ignore those. I hope they read the "extreme prejudice" part. :)

Anyway, those usually get answered pretty quickly unlike other type of issues which can take forever before an admin has the chance to get back to us. (Which is why I wondered if it was better to remove them to give you guys a chance to answer other people's issues.)

Perhaps this has been addressed, and I just didn't see it, if that is the case, sorry for repeating. Since it doesn't show up on steam (being greenlight) and therefore not showing up on Steamgifts synced game list... arn't 25,000 people facing auto-bans for "not activating" their win within seven days despite having activated it, played it, and ran into a musical black screen bug that causes a need to alt-tab in and out to make the game display on their screen in Windows 8 desktop mode?

There is no such thing as "auto-ban". And yes, we are aware of this issue, so we're mostly taking action against regifters / traders.

Windows 8, once tamed with Classic Shell (or other such program), is superior to Windows 7 in terms of speed, footprint, etc. Only thing it lacks is Aero Glass so far.

I really wish users get autobanned when they sync their account and the site finds they haven't activated their wins, except for dev giveaways. I don't think it would be too difficult to implement.
Have also reported a user again for a second time for not activating wins. Ban 'em!!!

I binged like crazy on this yesterday :D 8 hours worth, got to Lv156 and "finished" the game :( Sadly there's very little solo content, it seems the game is predominantly geared towards levelling your ship to get ready for PvP. Oh well. It was free and I got 8 hours of fun so I'm not complaining - except about that last mission, a POX on the person that thought it would be fun to send you to the far reaches of the galaxy, into areas with enemies that levels 700-1000, whilst you're only lv100 or so. A pox on them!

I'm sure I don't need to tell you guys this, but just a friendly reminder.
Anyone who attempts to regift / trade Galactic Arms Race will be suspended with extreme prejudice. This includes: Creating forum threads or support tickets about why Galactic Arms Race is not in the dropdown list, creating giveaways under Galactic Bowling or Galactic Civilizations etc. for giving away Galactic Arms Race, attempting to trade away Galactic Arms Race on other sites, creating a topic on SteamTrades about trading Galactic Arms Race away, and other similar actions.
