I need a new mouse, mine's starting to fail. Currently got a Logitech G500 and it's done great so far. Almost tempted to just buy another one.

I'd like at least a few extra buttons. Also are there any others with the "dual mode scroll wheel"? I found myself trying to use it on every other mouse to change tabs.
It'll be mainly for gaming but not really into all those gaming mice which try to look trendy and have 20 extra buttons.

Don't really wanna spend more than £30. Thanks guys!

I have Logitech G700s (and I'm very satisfied) but it is probably more expensive than 30-40€

Yeah, that's a solid mouse. I've been using a Logitech G700 (not "s", the older version) and it's lasted me since 2010 or 2011. Perfect amount of side buttons, never had any issues with wireless lag, and you can connect it via wire if you want. Only issue is the battery life sucks.

I've been considering getting a new mouse as a backup since I've had the G700 for so long I'm afraid it's gonna die on me. I tried the G602 but went through 2 of them with defects so I gave up. Might try getting another one if I find one cheap again.

Yes only one battery a little sucks, after 2-3 years after one day is dead but this wire option rescue all. I just connect and after 2h it is full charged. Probably I will just buy new accu battery and again it will work for several days on a single charge:)

Good Luck with choosing new mouse:)

I've used a Logitech G3 for years.

I guess I would stick to Logitech. I've had a Corsair M90 with lots of extra buttons but that model has issues with the scroll wheel so I'm done with Corsair.

I'm using R.A.T. 7 - I switched to it from older Logitech, and it's the best mouse I've ever had ;P Thing is - no matter how ergonomic mouse will be, it will never fit as well as mouse you can fit perfectly to your hand yourself :>

RIP Mad Catz :( I love their mice to death, but you have quite a high chance to get one with a shitty/buggy sensor sadly :( I own both an MMO 7 (lasted me 5 years, had to replace it because the plastic at the bottom was starting to wear out, still the best mouse I have ever owned) and a RAT 7 (used it for 2 months and replaced it with a Bloody v5, great cheap mouse btw, because the sensor would constantly shit itself while playing CSGO)
Also I think they are waaay out of OPs budget ;)

R.A.T. 3 can be bought slightly over OPs budget (~35£), R.A.T.1 and R.A.T.M can even be bought below his budget ;)

Also yeah, RIP Mad Catz ;( I absolutelly loved their mice (hated gamepads thou ;p) and it's heartbreaking to know we will never see new R.A.T. :(

Ahh right, I always forget that 1£ is worth more than 1€ and not about the same.

R.A.T.1 and R.A.T.M

I didnt even know those existed. Last time I checked (2-3 years ago) they had MMO7 + RAT 3,5,7,9 and Te. The new ones look so ... cheap?

Once I get home from abroad I might actually pull out my RAT 7 out of the closet and use it again, I miss having a super comfortable mouse I can use for hours without any pain :(

I don't like R.A.T.1 at all, but R.A.T.M is not that horrible - just poorer version of other R.A.T.s

Using a Logitech MX518 on the desktop and a Logitech MX Anywhere 2 on the laptop, can recommend both.

I had exactly the same situation. Was using G500 for ages, but one of the buttons died, so I've switched to G502 Proteus Spectrum. You won't regret.
But yea, the price is around £80.

Logitech 203 Prodigy is a great budget choice.

After years of using the MX518 (almost identical to the g500 i have both) i tested so many .... and all sucked

Which comes very close -> Roccat Kone Pure - Owl-Eye (more for small hands but worked fine for me)

also nearly the same Roccat Kone Pure Military often pretty cheap or try to find a B-Stock shop
dont get the normal (black one, the sensor is worse here) also more for small hands
and take a look at the QPAD 8K

but there is no real replacement for the old logitech series
and get a decent mousepad all the new mice do not work on all surfaces the same way as the MX series or other older ones
(Cooler Master Swift-RX for example)

I watch Rocket Jump Ninja's channel. His videos are all about mice and he tests them on a Quake game that requires quick mouse controls. He also compares other mice with a straight line test.
