Alright guys, i want to get some games for this Autumn Sale and GTA V seems to be one of the most recommended (along with Rocket League) but i'm aware of Rockstar's shitty Anti-Cheat System so i'm wondering if its worth the purchase or not. I've played it a few days ago on another account and it seems to be fun, but i want to know.

And if you're kind enough, recommend me some good Multiplayer/COOP games to buy instead, since most of my SP games are bought through GOG.

Thank you!

GTA is fantastic for single, and might be fun for multiplayer if you got 3 friends to play with.

The SP alone is very worth it (I played it on console), and online seems to be fun but I've yet to try it. I did get GTA V for 50% off this sale myself, and would be replaying the SP again, and for MP I think the best strategy would be to close all sorts of programs/softwares running in the background and play with friends, to hopefully prevent the anti-cheat as it seems to be banning legitimate players left and right.

If you're looking for a good story experience, I simply cannot recommend GTA IV and GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony enough. Whereas GTA IV succeeds in making its most realistic and believable protagonist to date for one of the best storylines ever in a game, TBoGT sheds the gritty elements and realism in IV for crazy good fun with tanks, attack choppers, APCs, and gold plated Uzis. Get the whole GTA IV EFLC package if you can!

I've played the campaign already, but i want to delve into Online. Too bad the Anti-Cheat stuff is so crappy since i want to use Skype/Discord to chat.

Discord has gotten people banned AFAIK, so I'd say go get V on console if possible. Or take the risk, it's usually not a perma ban the first few times.

Just the game or DLCs too?

DLCs don't contain map content or anything like that, just cars and the like. So I think you'd be just fine with the base game

depands on the game...

i don't like high prices too, but 25$ for GTA-V is pretty good... the content of the game is awesome... OK story sucks... XD

I actually liked the story. It was unconventional for a game story, and while it was not perfect all the way through, I thought it was good.

no anti-cheat trigger if you deactivate the "overlay"-feature in your tools...

You mean Steam Overlay or Skype/TS/etc Overlay?

Steam is fine; but im only sure about the steam version - not about the socialclub-only version...!

but all other tools overlays should be deactivated to get sure it's not triggering...

Well, I use PlayClaw (a Fraps-like program) for FPS count and stuff, and everything's fine, have never been banned in my 600+ hours of online. I don't think there's really a need for other overlays, so I personally don't see much of a problem there.

well, it's a awesome game with a great multiplayer, i have almost 800h at multiplayer, lmao :D

I never got banned, but i don't use discord, i only use teamspeak. but sometimes i play with skype on and didn't had any problems

So, if you like the game, and you have someone to play it online, go for it. They do constant updates to the game, always with new mods to play

In my opinion i think it worth

I will skip the part where I tell you that it's worth it for the single player alone because you only seem to care about multiplayer.

I've put quite a lot of time into GTA Online myself and I will tell you that it's definitely worth it. Modders are not that common nowadays and the game is a lot of fun and constantly getting new content.

There are a ton of things to do and although the community is not that great and you will often see the in-game chat being flooded with languages that you don't understand, you should still be able to get enjoyment out of it even if you are playing by yourself.

As for the anti-cheat system part, I would say that it is definitely an issue you should consider before buying. I, for one, have never done anything even remotely sketchy ( never took money from modders and I also close all non-essential programs before opening the game) and haven't been banned or anything like that, but there are a lot of people out there claiming to have been banned unjustly and rockstar support seems to be pretty much useless.

All in all, I would definitely recommend it, but that is because I haven't been unjustly banned and haven't had to deal with Rockstar customer support.

Of course there are, but your question is quite broad as there are so many types of multiplayer and co-op games out there. There's a huge variety of genres that incorporate the multiplayer/ co-op aspect.

Based on the amount of time you put into Team Fortress 2, I suggest that you give Paladins a try, it's free to play, or if you are not one of those Steam loyalists, Blizzard's Overwatch is awesome.

Overwatch has been consuming most of my weekends so yeah, i should give Paladins a shot.

I guess i'll get Rocket League and GTA V for now, i was thinking about getting some of the PAYDAY DLCs but they're a goddamn bunch and i don't know which ones are worth.
