probably someone tired of reminders, its normal that someone who owns part/all of a package or a dlc can still enter giveaways for them, no real need to remind experienced gifters on it.

could also be that your comment made them look at your SG profile and the comment itself isn't the reason.

That depends on the one looking at it, some people hate when people mainly do group/region restricted/otherwise not widely accessible GAs, for example, but it can be anything, making threads about blacklist is a very popular motive for blacklisting, or so I'm told...

I rarely use this site. I used to do giveaways but I prefer more one on one. Gave a ton of games on reddit before I took a long brefrom gifting random people and just gifting my friends

depends on the person, ratio, quality of games, how often things are region locked, % of giveaways being group/invite only/public, time since last giveaway, among many others things(also to note I haven't even looked at yours)

Ah. Well it's their right to do so.

You won more than 4x what you gave and you have never made a public giveaway in the 13 years since you registered on the site. Only surprising thing about you being blacklisted is that you are surprised by it, and I would bet that making this thread has attracted even more attention to your giveaway history resulting in even more blacklists

OK. I joined the site when it started. I haven't been on here in seven years. I come on and see people can enter for a game because I own it. I tell the guy.

I mainly now gift friends I have given thre copies of wilds to my friends. For example. I have fulfilled requests on gift of games the sub on reddit I used to be a head mod for. Many of them. I need to honestly stop gifting so often and save up money.

You don't enter giveaways and you're still worried about blacklists, that says a lot about the FOMO on this site. Just ignore it, honestly.
People will do what they do. History shows there doesn't need a rational reason for it.

I once commented on a publisher giveaway that I owned the boxed version of the game from 20 years ago and looked forward to trying the Steam version. I posted a picture of it and everything. They responded with a very friendly and enthusiastic reply... and then blacklisted me. 🤷‍♂️

I don't worry about it. I use ESGST option to hide blacklist stats.

Wow. What game was it?

I probably shouldn't say (it would be too easy to identify the giveaway creator)... But it was a very obscure game from the early 2000s with a peak of 20 players online on Steam.

This sounds like a button mixup to me and maybe they actually wanted to whitelist you instead. Did you talk to them afterwards and got an explanation?

I did not. Who knows? I don't think English was their first language. I ended up buying the game on Steam anyway. :)

Dont mind it as much, the blacklist is extreme sure; but honestly, the odds of that person winning that particular game are low; but if they so happend to win and cant accept it on that account....then they will WISH they listened to your advice. And by that point is already too late.

You OP are one of the people who clearly have deficiencies in reading the room. Last giveaways you did lie 12 years in the past and your ratio is 4:1. I'd call you silly for asking why others blacklist you but that would be impolite.

OK. As I said earlier I left the site. 12 years ago. I did visit briefly six or seven years ago. I am. Not entering giveaways anymore. I give games mostly on reddit and friends. I came back to see who I knew is still here and I saw that I could enter a game I owned. So I informed the person.
