I realize it's Steam Gifts, but can I give away a Minecraft code?

I just bought Minecraft and it came with a gift code that I may give to a friend. Would that be accepted here at Steam Gifts? I figured it would be a nice way to contribute back to the site.

I am sure you could do a giveaway on the forum then just pick a name from a hat or something, I thought the game was all right when I played it with my Humble code, but I did not get into it enough to warrant my money.

This weekend Minecraft is buy 1 get one free, is why the OP made the topic.

I would imagine it'd be okay to give it away on the forums or the chat and whatnot, but not a regular giveaway.
