Actually, some of his Sonny-Moore-period electroish tracks are pretty awesome!

For the same reason that people hate the Beatles. No talent and yet people love them for "contributing so much to music!"

Not liking his music has nothing to do with being a hipster or not. So stop with that. Never have been a fan of dubstep, especially considering it all sounds the same, no difference in anything he does. He samples his own song, and by samples I'm sure they were already programed into the program he uses. Actually he might just use those electric keyboards that you can change the sound samples for. I'm not even a fan of deadmau5 but at least there is a little variety in what he does.

I don't hate him. I actually likes his music. But Dirty Dutch and Hardstyle > Dubstep.

Well, I'm not a fan of dubstep in general, but I do like some of Skrillex's songs, and my friend, who is a musician/composer/sound producer, drools over the sound in his songs, says it's amazing (even though I can't tell the quality difference between my friend's attempts at wobwob and Skrillex's. I guess Skrillex good in what he's doing. The hate probably comes from overplayings of his songs on the radio, luckily I don't listen to the radio.

Today two people have been added to my hate list, Skrillex and you. :P

hmm since you'r asking lately, I'm assuming it's because some people (alot of them douchebags) started listening to it and think they are hipsters when they are actually media driven robots.

Only the music I like is good.

As both a drummer and bassist, I can appreciate the rhythmic aspect of some of his music; other than that I don't really like it.

We, the humans, can hate someone-something just 'cause. Free will.

I don't hate him. I don't know him. I wouldn't recognise him on the street. You'd have to ask the people that actually hate him. I doubt that they have a valid reason for hating the person. I dislike the music but that doesn't really mean I have an opinion on the artist.
