You can message them to remind to do it, if you're 100% sure they activate your key, and/or wait 7 days and open a support ticket under 'request received feedback"

Thank you. Yes I'm 100% sure that he redeemed the key, I've added him and left a message under his profile, but doesn't seems that bothers him for me the account looks like some kind of bot-farm account so yea..

Yeah, that would suck... but in case it is, it's possible that it (and a few other) accounts get banned, which is a plus side - the obvious negative would be that the game quite certainly wouldn't get played.

Following on from what adam1224 has said, if they don't redeem the key on the account they won and you don't get feedback and open a support ticket to get feedback, it is likely they will get a suspension for not activating the game on their account. Best of luck with getting the feedback soon!

Unfortunately so. Hopefully your message will remind the winner to provide appropriate feedback.

To prevent the bots-like users helps to set a minimum level to entry, at level 0 is there sadly a lot farm bots.

sadly I face bot using accounts on other levels very often too. the accounts usually have giveaways from 8-9 years ago and nothing since, and they have 2+ levels. Maybe like 40 percent of my giveaways are won by those types that are almost online 24 hours every day, I wish there was a way to prevent it

Blacklist this accounts is one step in the right direction that they don't win again.

Check them with sgtools.info/activation and request a reroll + report them if they have red marks. This get for a part of them suspensions, partly permanent ones, and lesser wins.

Maybe do a discussion thread and put links to GAs there. This will limit the amount of autojoiners drastically too (and can combined with the min. level restriction of 3 - 5 [my own public GAs are nowadays min. level 5]).

And last but not least, as higher the level restriction, as lower the autojoiner amounts.

That's all you can do as member IF you don't want to join (a) group(s).

I've been setting my public GAs at 2+ for a while after I had many issues with lvl 0 & 1 giveaways. Do you think raising it to 3 - 5 would make much difference in the number of autojoiners?

Yes, a lot.
Because since 6 months+ nearly no mod handle cv reducing tickets (or add games by themself), the autojoiners gained a lot of levels (on top of all the overpriced fake game GAs that skyrocket some guys in 5 months from level 0 to 10 [sadly no joke]).

When i stopped to hunt black sheeps, 7 or 8 months ago, the results from 350+ autojoiner tickets were that 2/3 are level 0 - 2 and only 1/3 are higher (at least from the most stupid ones, that use on top the integrated thanks script).

And besides the autojoiners, you have lesser users that you will have problems after a win because of unactivated wins, multiple wins of the same game etc..

At level 5 you have maybe 10 - 20% of the autojoiners you would have on level 2.

Maybe I'll raise them to 3+ or start doing more forum GA's, I don't want to exclude a bunch of people because they can't afford to make it to lvl 5.

i don't have actual data but it seems to me that having a delayed start time helps with low level GAs

just make invite only GA's with lvl requirement and make a thread with a simple puzzle to get the URL for it.
bots are only able to easily acquire links posted and public ones. adding just one human required element removes them.

I faced a similar issue where an account that very likely uses bots redeemed my giveaway key but didn't mark it as received for days, though the account seemed to be online on steamgifts most of the day. I added the person on steam and wrote a message and after a few days I got a respond saying "sorry I forgot" and the person marked it as received. so even if these people use bots messaging them might work

Well there is no option to comment under his profile and for some reason i can't add him on steam

If the person has some previous giveaways, writing there might work. I think that sends a notification to them

You can check your winners with sgtools.info ( if i am not wrong sgtools.info/activation )
If you see there a red mark make a reroll ticket if you don't sended the key or report the winner if you sended the key.

I recommend to do this check, always, before you send a key.
This way a bunch of the rule breakers get punished before they can grab a (additional) win.

And as other ones said, a set minimum level for public GAs is needed to hold the, most, autojoiner (bot) accounts away. I recommend level 3 - 5.

Be careful with calling out/accusing people publicly. If you have evidence, report them via support ticket.

Also: they marked their previous wins as received, so it's likely they will do it with this one as well sooner or later.
