I actually like SG a lot. There are multiple things, you know, the elaborate puzzles, the jigidis, that I first actively hated, and I ended up loving, the quick calculation of probabilities, the threads maintained for years...
And most of all, I like the kind of sense of community. We are, many of us, increasing our backlogs with hundred of games we wouldn't have time to finish even living ten lives, the silliness of fighting with giveaways sites to get one of the 1000 keys for a game among the whole world, , and if we don't want it, we just give it away.
Also, I like how improbable the whole thing sounds. We are a site for giving away games. Think about it. First time I came here I was just looking for the catch, where somebody would finally ask for my credit card, or something.
Anyway, welcome back here.
And maybe try to get back your email address. I had a fried thst forgot his password AND his email, and I managed to get it back by finding out the email, and then escalating to email password and then steam support.

I think I've tried literally everything. But I've never had success, anyway I'm looking forward to the fresh start.
And your point of view, I really liked it! I identify a lot, and I also have a lot with me that doing well generates well, and I see SG as an incredible gateway to convey that. Thanks for the words and the welcome. =}
I think someone got a WL xD

Oh I was lucky to get mine back but I lost my xbox account the same way for a while. Lost my xbox and because I was young I wasn't the one who set up my account. Took a couple of years after recreating accounts for stepdad to finally figure it out, by that point though I wasn't really using an xbox but it was nice to have my actual account back for a little bit.
I do stay for the off chance I win something but its not my main reason. There's this monthly event here where you play your sg wins, its like a nice cozy corner of this site where I can just feel safe to talk. The regulars are great and its fun seeing new people joining up, just really expanding every month.
Anyway good luck with your new reset, we need to get your backlog filled up

Welcome back to SG with a new PC to boot!
I started on another giveaway site and got fed up with the issues on it. The forums mentioned this place as an alternative place to make giveaways and I have not looked back since. The community, puzzles and events that take place here make this much more than a normal giveaway site. I use this site for all of the reasons you mentioned above. For me, it's the best site for giving my duplicate keys a good home. I hope you will have a great time now that you're back. :)

I lost my first steam acc with like 20-30games i think ,i didnt setup the account and the email got killed x.x,but i stopped using steam for some years so i never even spend a thought about the account .
I actually learned about SG ,when i tried to raise my Alienware lvl ,i was close to lvl 30 and you got exp for likes on your comments back in the day ,so i wanted to create some giveaways to get to lvl 30 ,i was pretty skeptic about sg ,because its supposed to be free .
and that was the day i stopped using Alienware .

I feel you with that email story, i lost my PSN account with $500+ worth of games the same way a few years ago. Also, congrats on the new PC :)
As for SG, i like it quite a bit here. Originally i joined just for the giveaways, but now, a few years later, i'm mainly here for the community. Don't get me wrong, i still enter giveaways but browsing the forum has been my main activity on SG for the last year :D

bad event, it happened to me few times so now I dont use internet operators mails anymore, as they are not for unlimited use. Furthermore, their security can not be checked once you leave the operator. Now for important things, using a google or microsoft mail account is an aware choice , or any solid firm where you can open one (for security, recovery possibilities and long term support) -sorry for the advert-
hope you wont face this issue again... Welcome back and enjoy your new start once you start to recieve your pc parts!
and to answer, I've discovered SG only last year, as for years, I didnt play drm games at all. I came here to win some games to expand my library and to challenge my only decent gpu since 2 decades but it died few month later . Now I already think I have too much with 130 (in one year, I played only half of my steam library, either because my last gpu cant do the job, or because they're in waiting list or because others platforms delay the backlog fight with their games gifted.
Otherwise I like to check threads about games, deals, feelings shared by members, enter on created events , all this stuff shared by users, less cold platform, far more human exchanges than others I explored and why not make friends to eventually play together one day or just chatting or helping each others on games achievements. To finish I specify I dont answer to be WL, its free to folks to do or not, even if it's nice to see the blue curve growing lol

The blue curve is that indicator that starts a smile, the red one creates a doubt lol we never know why it goes up. Thank you for the welcome and for participating in the community. PS: Cute cats (Looks like a homemade photo, so I imagine they are yours.)
Welcome to WL colleague. =}

I know why the red can grow too, because I add some on mine, so I consider its the rightful giving-back of BL some ppl. Have no doubt and no bad feelings about that. Now I try to moderate the red adding because there are some tools to help, and keep the WL inflate with users who let me good vibes or just contribute a lot to maintain SG alive, sadly I cant catch everyone i'd like. This kind of thread helps me to do it
Thank you and feel at home as by the past on this nice place. As Zarddin said, its a special moment to build your PC and optimize for first days, I did it last year and really enjoyed it. The joy begin when you get the first components 🥔
Thanks for my little girls, you got it, I'm their slave (just common alley cats, but its the same love and fun as purebred ones) 🐱

SG is pretty chill, I like to give away spare keys I have or keys for games I don't plan on playing. The community is also nice. Welcome back :)

SG is a very funny place. It's full of weird, toxic flamethrowers (like me), but there are plenty of good people out there as well. And how you see the SG depends on which side you look from and what you are looking for here.
If you are looking for interesting puzzles, cool giveaways and socializing - you will find it. If you're looking for toxicity, mean words, and many bots that enter the giveaways using programs and writing the same comments and all that stuff, you can find that too.
However, welcome back. Without you (as well as without any other user) this place would be a little different.

SG is a chill nice place to give away games I don't want or I already have and to win the ones I want :) I don't even remember how I learned about this site a few years ago.
Buying new parts and assembling them yourself is always a joy and that moment when you start your new PC for the first time ever is just pure magic moment. I still remember my first Celeron 333Hz and all the days and nights I did spend playing Baldur's Gate on it :)

Yeah, i lost my first steam account too (stolen) and lost hope about steam itself. I discovered this site randomly when surfing, and it's not the only platform for my giveaways. For me SG is about community and altruism, i discovered some folks here too. I know most ppl come here for +1, but i discovered that some people share emotions here too. And that's very good, because sometimes even reaching out to people - it's a hard thing to do.

Sorry for the loss, it's always very frustrating. And yes, I'm here for the same reason, which is for the people who make a difference in this community, whether with feelings, puzzles or questions, the important thing is to participate in a positive way.
Welcome to WL colleague. =}

I'm mostly here to stay up to date on discussions about the latest bundles and game promotions. As for losing your steam account, you can get your account back if you provide support with any proof of a past purchase. I still have a physical copy of my first steam game, L4D2, for this reason. Good luck.

Congrats on the new pc! I'm sorry you lost your account and had to start over, I hope you have fun with the pc and the games you can now play. And welcome back! I once lost all the original files for a project and only had a locked version of it left. Luckily someone taught me how to break through the security measures I had set. Never been so happy to fail at preventing a break-in haha.
I think I found out about SG through the patientgamers subreddit. It's basically a forum for talking about older games when the hype has died down but you still want to discuss a game. I love the community here! And finding out about Jigidi through here. The jidigi community has a lot of retired people. It's cathartic to have others to talk to about eyesight, joint pain, balance, etc. because that's rare in my age group. I didn't know grandmas and grandpas had their own gaming communities (aside from BigFish).

I stumbled upon a blogpost of someone saying how this site was a scam. Because they won games and gave them to their mother and girlfriend. They were of the opinion they should be allowed to do what they wanted with their wins since now the keys were their property...
Their point was to convince people that steamgifts was a scam but it convinced me that it wasn't a scam since it was checked that you activated the wins on your own steam account. So I checked it out and love it here.
I met some great people being here and it's just lovely how many people love to share the gift of gaming with others. There have been some very interesting posts in the forums and I love the avatars that I got from jbondguy007. I got a halloween one and a christmas one. So yeah, I love that I found this place. I don't always post so much on the forums, but I do read a lot.
Also love your question btw 💜

There are people who have a very different sense than common sense. It's sad, they create a criticism based on the confidence that his wrong attitude is correct, well what's really left is penalty and exclusion of people like that from the site, because regardless of what they think the site has rules.
SG is a special place, where we find what we least expect to be too much. I really like all of this.

I discovered this website when I was trying to find pre-purchase cyberpunk giveaway using google. I was waiting for a job at the time. Didn't believe much until I won my first game here. Saw some thing unusual in a description of a fail attempt community trains (public instead of invite only) and found the forum. The community and events make me give more than I once thought. So I decided to give more, even games I don't have yet cause I think I won't play it soon. Now, most of the time I give games that requested by group's rules. Anyway, have a great time now.

Very cool! The group idea is fantastic when you have groups that work. When I create a good reputation I hope to do the same to be able to give gifts to people who are at least a little "closer". Thanks for your contribution. =}

I'm very new to this community, but have had good experiences so far. I start discussions in my giveaways. Most recently I asked for suggestions of games in the rogue-like-rogue-lite genre. I like meeting people with my same passion for difficulty and RNG, and learning about games I would have otherwise never found out about. I've also requested innocent jokes, and look forward to starting topics in my giveaways. Also, there are multiplayer games out there that are GREAT but with no player base. So I plan to eventually buy keys for those in bulk and distribute them here. Guns of Icarus Alliance is one of those. Peekaboo as well. There's so many games out there where the only problem is no player base , mostly because there are so many options and people are afraid to take a chance and spend money on a game when the reviews say it's dead.

Oh rogue-like
Try Hades. Yes, the randomness generator is not very good, but the game is insanely beautiful and, which is rare for this genre, it has a quite obvious (and even quite decent) plot.
As for the random generator, it seems that there is nothing better than Isaac, and I don’t think it will be.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think i've tried that one before, can't remember what I thought of it, but it looks good! I didn't like Dead Cells much for some reason, and I felt like that's what I was thinking of when I thought of Hades. I'll mark that one down!

It's 4 AM and I'm here because I'm drunk and don't have anybody to share my life with. I've never had.
I usually lurk here just because I don't know what to do :c
I often find something useful and many nice folks here, though.

I think everyone fills a little of our solitude here, in relation to friends, to know more about the world or even just to observe an audience that minimally fits with ours. I know how it is and I hope I have a good weekend. =}
Bem-vindo ao colega WL. =}

Greetings fellow platformers! =}
2 years ago I lost an email account that I had for many years in an unrecoverable way because I filled it with random information (At the time, I was a lazy child). With that same loss, I lost my steam account, got discouraged and with financial problems I chose to sell my computer.
But this last month in particular, I missed so much, the computer, the communities, the friendships and here SG. I plucked up the courage and bought a new computer, nothing too much, but enough for me, and I'm looking forward to the parts arriving so I can assemble them one by one.
With that, I anticipated and before having my new machine, I will create my new reputation here at SG and if luck allows me, guarantee some games for the first experiences of my new achievement.
Thank you so much for reading this far. Tell me a little about how you know SG, is it a place that makes you feel good or are you here just for the advantages it provides you? You can be honest, say little, say a lot or just say what you want!
The most interesting ones will be added to my WL for some GAs I'm planning.
MAY EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
