Internet boycotts don't do squat unless you've got maybe 5 million people involved. Then depending on the company, you might see some effort. Like that Harry Potter thing that exploded and they changed it.

This is all pretty pointless for many reasons. 1.) Lets say ME3 is the best game ever made and sells 3 billion copies all on the PC and all of them are the 80 collectors/Digital deluxe. This send a very clear message that companies can continue to screw over consumers because well lets face it, consumers are fucking retards.
2.) ME3 sells a whopping 30k copies TOTAL and only 2 people bought the day 0 DLC. This sends a clear message that "OMFG people pirated ME3 2.9 BILLION times blah blah". SOPA like laws are then enforced because "Pirates rrr takin dar jubs!!" and the internet is soon like china's. The video game industry and music industry experience a dramatic decline in sales and end up closing doors. Anarchy in the streets, dogs sleep with cats, UTTER CHAOS!!
I for one am expecting a game that is all DLC except the first level. Want to jump? DLC for that. Gamepad/keyboard usage? DlC for that my friend. Need to change some video settings partner? Better fork over $$ for the DLC. Need a gun? DLC... and so on.
Side note. I vowed to never touch another ubisoft game since they started in with always on DRM, and have yet to break that. I wont touch ME3 (even though I want so bad...) until its a complete game for a reasonable price. (Same for skyrim which I want so bad, but know better because DLC is a must for games these days.)

Skyrim seems pretty complete, content-wise, and they've claimed that all DLC will aim to be like Shivering Isles in terms of size, which sounds pretty far to me.

Perhaps, but I prefer to wait for DLCs and price reductions. I waited almost 2 years before getting New Vegas JUST so I could get all the DLC in a single affordable package. Ended up getting the base game for free 4 months before the ULT edition came out. Aint that a BITCH :.
By free I mean I had a coupon for target for donating blood.

A game that is all DLC? Why does that sound familiar...

I'm joining this fantastic group. EA is my most hated company that accumulates all retarded things some other companies sometimes do. EA simply collects all the idiotic ideas and they do it all!

We should do a group anti the whole gaming industry. They expect people to stop pirating but look at games like the Warhammer Series by THQ. A million DLCs. Not to mention Railworks 3. That game is just sad. 1247,60€ worth of DLCs. God I miss the good all days when games only needed patches.

You are right, that they are not a monopoly and that a gamer himself can do pretty much by not buying their games. However it is not true that they are not doing anything to gaming. At that moment, when EA sues fan projects, mistrusts their clients (e.g. Origin spionage policy), turns down games (e.g. Mirrors Edge 2), throws rocks at any non-EA studio (e.g. System Shock 3) or just cripples games (e.g. Spore) it pretty much changes gaming.
And I'm not even complaining about abusing franchises (Command & Conquer, Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate...).
However since EA is a publisher they NEED to have a vision/philosophy how to change gaming. It's the same with Valve. They also have a vision on gaming. Steam is a good example on how they achieved a milestone in the past. It's not that they didn't have any pushback.

They pretty much have a monopoly with their EA Sports brand. Just look at their deal with the NFL.

I answered some 200 question survey from EA about Origin. It essentially took 9 "questions" to show you a possible feature of Origin and ask if you liked them, and then question 10 was always "If the features in the last 9 questions were implemented into Origin, would you use it?".
I answered "yes, I like this feature" to all 9 questions every time, and then my answer to the tenth question was always "no, I would not use Origin".
dohoho I'm such a rebel.

Well, recently a friend started up a group specifically to show how mad he is about Electronic Arts' actions in gaming, from forcefully taking down multiplayer servers for games that are still popular, to zero-day DLC.
Check out http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ANTI-EA if you're interested in illustrating the same kind of sentiment.
Who knows, if we get a lot of members, I may even do a raffle or two of non-EA games.
