Second attempt at creating some GAs. Read this for the previous attempt.

More info about the previous event can be found in this GA:
https://www.sgtools.info/giveaways/79bd23ec-fc42-11ec-a730-fa163e0a8583

I am keeping this one a lot simpler this time. Note to self: I might need to update this, add some info once I create the puzzle.
Anyway, I hope this event doesn't get spoiled like the last one.

Apologies to the previous participants. I'll try to make up to you guys and contact each one of you .However, since the leaker is one of the participants from the previous event, I'll not be sharing the GA links directly with you. Once again, sorry about that.

1stCheater informed me that my puzzle is kinda useless against those who use ESGST (because of how it formats links apparently). Thanks you!
So, instead, here is something boring but proven. guess I spoke too soon. jigidi is proven to be a bad puzzle for stopping bots!

In case someone knows of any loopholes with the current setup, or has any suggestions for more puzzles, please feel free to let me know.
I am already aware of zelgh magic guide to basic sg puzzling (thanks Frannc for the link)

My notifications/inbox is flooded with messages, specially because I am also pinging all previous participants, so that's personally messaging (as in commenting on their GAs) a few 100s of [mostly active] users here.
So, in case I miss someone's message and don't reply, please forgive me. I certainly didn't ignore you.

Also, to all the welcome-ers, well wishers and bumpers, thank you all!

Update

After about 8 hours, I have informed all the participants from previous event. In case I missed someone, sorry, but I did my best.
Also, I did BL a few along the way (I think just 2 people). Feel free to reach out to me in case you are one of them, preferably on steam.

Success

Just checked the ticket I created after the first event. The accounts I reported have been perma-suspended!
I few less accounts to worry about. Only a few thousand more to go.

Heads up

You might need to set your steam profiles to public in order to pass the SGTools rules.

Update v2 - Leaks Again

Man, this time around the leaks are even worse than before. I mean it seems the leaker didn't even care to read this description even a little. This whole thread is about there being being a leak in my previous event and me having to recreate all the GAs. And if they read the description, I can't believe they can be dumb enough to still leak links this time.
The leak this time is even worse. All 10 GAs have been leaked. There are a total of 59 invalid entries so far, and obviously at least one of the valid entrant is the leaker.

Sadly, this time I am too tired and busy to bother with deleting and then recreating all the GAs once again. So, I'll probably just re-roll if any of the invalid entrants win, or maybe delete just those GAs.

Also, I apologize about this, but expect huge delays with distributing the keys. I'll probably check each winner somewhat intensively, so it's gonna take me a lot of time.

Not sure what the "old" puzzle in here was but this one worked just fine. thanks for the reminder and the new attempt :)

Well, I used SG's formatting to hide the GA. Linking them in between a long link. However, apparently ESGST puts a "*" before each link and highlights them with a different color (not sure what the color codes represent, as I don't use ESGST< just saw a screenshot). This mean that the links would no longer be hidden.

eg. hover over each letter in the following text

Happy belated cakeday and thanks for the nice games. Sorry you had to re-do and go through so much trouble.
I think setting a minimum level requirement would help eliminate many of the multi-account bots.

The accounts I reported were all level 1.
The main account (the one that leaked the links) must probably be higher.
Also, anything more than level 1 and I feel bad about genuine members not being able to join.

The first event was kind of like a test. I might experiment again to try and find a good balance between a was to prevent such accounts from joining and make the GA accessible to all.

Bump!
You know, one of the easiest ways to prevent bots I am aware of is by simply writing 5-letters code (as a plain text) for invite-only GA inside the first GA.
For example, if 10'000 people entered a public GA with a 5-letter code in its description leading to invite-only GA of the same game, only ~700 people will enter that 'hidden' GA. That's lvl0 GAs we are talking about, with lvl set to 2 or 3 I think you'll get an even better overall result.

Someone advised something similar just about a hour ago.
Also, I did something similar in the first event, but posting the link instead of just the code.
I guess posting the code instead of the link is much better.

Thanks for the tip.

To post the link or the 5 digit code shouldn't give much different entries.
The ones that do it manual, can do it in both cases and the ones that use a sniffer script or something like that, combined with a autojoiner/bot will solve both too. The autojoiner/bot use a template and grab only the 5 digit code from a link -so both would be the same for him-.

I was thinking the same afterwards (I know a little programming).
However, it sure will be a good way to eliminate those humans who don't read descriptions. It might not be against the rule, but I think entrants should read the description, specially if it's several thousands of words long (like mine from the first event).

Someone made a replacement, but it is in alpha and may not be ready for people to start using it...

https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/blkBO/2solveme-solve-create-your-own-quiz-and-jigsaw-puzzles-0-ga-included

It also has a Jigidi-type puzzle maker but it doesn't work for me on Firefox.

Yeah, I have seen that. Tried and given feedback too.
I think it needs some work before it is good enough to be used for actual event.

Thanks anyway!
