Hey there ... end of September there will be my birthday. Again. Always when this happens, I take a day off, or two or three.

This time, I am travelling to Stockholm.

Until now I lack a place to sleep. Can u recommend a cheap place to be?Not too fucked up, but can be simple. It should be accessible late at night and near some public transport ...

Thanx for your hint :)

Lodge32 seems to be quite cheap, and it's in the very middle of Stockholm, with the best Pizza and Sushi restaurants in Stockholm within a 5min walking distance. The subway is really close (litterally around the corner) and the central station is ~10min walking distance if you'd rather go there.
Either way, hope you'll have fun here in Stockholm!

Thanx! I am really looking forward to see the city of Stockholm - always wanted to go to Sweden and think I'll return to see the countryside ....

hey ... 1 question ... maybe stupid, but: I always read that the Swedish pay almost everything by card and not by cash. No problem so far, but I am planning to visit a concert. Let's say, I want to buy a beer ... by card? No? Or yes? This would really be crazy.

You can use both card and cash pretty much everywhere, though if it's a smaller concert venue you might want to bring cash for that, just in case. That's what I usually do at least.
I mean, they will always accept cash, and only 95% of the smaller concert venues accept cards.
Edit: but then again, some concert venues don't sell beer (suprisingly enough), or just sell the weaker stuff (3,5%), so it's a hard question to answer without knowing where the concert in question is.

Okay, thanks again! It will be enARENA Globen ... so I will bring some cash. It is a very short trip, so I thought I'd survive without changing money.

Ah, there. Never seen any concert in Globen, but if they do sell beer at the venue itself, then I'm 100% sure that they'll accept cards!

Stockholm: come for the architecture, stay for the syndrome.

I have nothing to contribute, sorry.
