So I used my remaining coins from Tremor Games to get some keys from the Leisure Suit Larry franchise. And all of them worked except one (Leisure Suit Larry 6) which has a missing digit in the first 5 number parts so it looks like this: XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. It seems like an honest mistake since the games aren't worth much coins anyway, so it would be silly to scam them that way. If you have a Leisure Suit Larry 6 could you tell me what the first and last digit is from the first 5 digits? Since I'm assuming it's either the first or last part of the 5 part code that is missing. I'm wondering if I can figure it out by myself.

Also is there any punishment, except for the temporary block, from attempting too many wrong keys over a long period?

Edit: It was the first digit that was missing and the letter was "J". Activated now, very happy ^^ Thanks to those who tried to help ^^

I'm afraid there is no recovery for that. You can at least try to bruteforce the missing character.
No worries, there is no punishment for too many activation attempts, only a cooldown. ;)

Yup, I don't mind trying to brute force it as long as it doesn't get my account locked. Thanks for the info.

Yeah after 10 unsuccessful attempts you'll be unable to activate any key for 1h. So for just one missing character, I guess you can bruteforce it in 3 hours, if you're unlucky

The more I think about it the more I assume it's the first part of the key that is missing since who would type out their entire key :D Probably got lost while selecting the key with their mouse. Numbers: 0,4,5,6,7 and 8 were unsuccessful so far, but thanks for the input :)

Yea, I would also bet on the first part, it is very unlikely that the missing character is at the end of the first sequence.

My copy of LSL6, which was also from Tremor, but a few months ago, has 8 as the first and 5 as last.

EDIT:
I also got the rest of the LSL games at the time and the first character for all of them, except one, was 8. The one exception was a 7.

The keys from the same game, buyed from the same bundles (more then 1 copy) at a close timeframe, have similar parts.

It's still an algorithm and if you had enough examples in theory it's possible you could see a pattern. Of course I know it's a very long shot, but it's kinda for fun too to see. Thank you for your input ^^

I still have mine in activation history so maybe this can help you somewhat

CYNK0-*****-FFDYK | Status: OK/NoDetail | Items: [226444, Leisure Suit Larry 6 - Shape Up Or Slip Out]

There were at least 2 different bundles so possibly two different sets of keys out there.

As far as I can tell from other people it does seem to be too random to guess the letter, but by brute forcing it I eventually got the right one which was "J" for me.

Assuming the key was copy-pasted, it may be the first character which is missing. Perhaps someone accidentally started copying at position 2 ?

This turned out to be the case and luckily I was able to brute force it, the letter was "J".

First five in my larry 6 code is TJ84K
So yeah don't forget it's not just numbers, but letters as well. :D Would probably be best to just try them in order since it will take a while. 0-9A-Z first position, then second, then third, then fourth, then fifth...

That was my plan if everything else failed, but it turned out to be the first position (which also made the most sense). The letter was "J".
