[Nuuvem] This product is not available for purchase in your region.

So I just tried to purchase L.A. Noire Complete pack from Nuuvem, and got this error: This product is not available for purchase in your region. This wasn'T stated ANYWHERE on the page, and I'm not even from Germany or Australia. I live, and my IP is located in Hungary, where the only locked game is Injustice Gods Among Us, because it has a DLC, in which Superman wears the russian autocracy symbol. So did you get this error too? And more importantly: If I ask my american friend to buy it for me, will I get a ROW copy, or I shouldn't even try?

you can buy it, doesnt matter where you are. I buy from Nuvem all the time region lock games, and Im from EU.

yes, you can play any game and activate it normally on your steam account.
Here is catch:
Download hola extenstion for Chrome or Firefox and just before purchasing click on extension and choose Brasil as your destination. Thats it, you can buy game and activate it.
I bought around 10 games so far never had problem.
Hope I helped you regarding this issue.

got this too trying to purchase borderlands 2 dlc (I AM in australia)
interestingly the dlc also had mac versions (more expensive) which it would allow me to put in cart

Region lock games is only for Brasil region, all others have restrictions...
But with hola you can purchase, and play it.

For some reason, Hola isn't working. It's probably because my College is stricter about VPNs.

Any workaround, or am I boned?

There are some games that can't be bought outside of Brazil - they don't appear a region locked because you can't even put it into your cart.

I'm trying to buy Civilization 5 Complete Edition. These deals were posted on Reddit, and the people there said that it worked.

I can't really use a VPN because my School is strict about that.

Hopefully there is a workaround.

Try to go into a café and use the wifi they provide, or something like that, hopefully you'll find something like that near your place :)

Actually, just because you can't put it into a cart doesn't mean it's region locked. Sometimes it's ROW key, but Nuuvem can only sell it to Brasil customers.
Only games with explicit "REGION LOCK - bla bla Brasil" are activation locked to Brazil.

Actually some don't even start as restricted to specific regions. This morning I myself bought a copy of Injustice from Nuuvem just fine. No VPN, no firefox extensions, no nothing. Tried to add awesomenauts to my cart too and it wouldn't let me. Then a friend of mine(same country as me) tried to buy Injustice from Nuuvem this afternoon and it wouldn't let her add it to her cart.
And yeah as long as it doesn't state in nice red letters that it's restricted to Brasil(should be under the part where it says it needs Steam activation) then the key is RoW

don't know if it is your case, but nuuvem states that you can't buy the same game twice. you did bought it the first time or just added and cancelled the purchase?

Nuuvem blocks me regardles of my VPN's current IP region if I try to pay with (Chinese) Paypal now. They take the region info from your Paypal account. If I set region to anything besides China, and then pay with my USA Mastercard, it works fine.

Same here, I wanted to buy the LEGO bundle yesterday when i didn't turn the VPN on it said game was unavailable in my region (China as well) So i turned on the VPN and paid with paypal, i didn't even need a paypal account. I use my french Mastercard to buy online.

Games were still redeemable.
