About there being no mods left on this site? and Yattermen stepping down as a mod or something as well?

Did I miss something since I haven't been on in the past few days?

I wouldn't mind getting filled in on what all this is about

Yep, the support section is being reworked. The previous setup wasn't ideal, so it's being updated to help both users and moderators. As well, it would be nice to have various roles in support, so different ticket categories are directed to separate groups of moderators. That way they're not overwhelmed with tickets that don't apply to them. For now, as these changes are being setup, I'll be catching up on our backlog of tickets.

Thanks for some clarification at least. I suppose when the necessary changes are completed you'll be open to recruiting additional support staff? Perhaps some of the others who were let go will return and provide insight/tutelage.
