This is not steamgifts.com issue, it's your phone browser or some malvare on your phone.
I have older Opera-mini, works fine.

It's not just me, read the comment above you. It only happened on Steamgifts and even when I didn't click anything it randomly redirected me.

Well, as I wrote - Opera-mini on Android 2.3.5 works normal.

Yeah I get that, but it is still a problem even if it happens in select browsers.

It works normal for you because modern ads are designed to run on android 4+

Got that too, I may have accidentally clicked an ads
it was something like "omg your phone has a virus, install our awesome crap to fix it or it will explode"
time to reinstall dolphin and use ad block.

edit: Just for info android 7, Chrome

I had that on my phone! If you see some red ad that says something about Kindleware or something, close the ad. I think the ad was causing some pop-up. I haven't seen it happen again.

in case it's not one of the suggested viruses or ad-spawning sites in other tabs: sometimes I accidentally click on ads, maybe your touch screen is acting up if you're certain you haven't tapped any yourself

Works fine for me. I'm running Firefox on my phone though. Could be an issue with your phone. Does it happen with other websites?

They might be trying to skim Steam logins.

Valve recently banned a ton of cheaters so you can be sure they're looking to steal new accounts.

But that is still a security breach on the Steamgifts site then.

Automated ad systems that allow Flash ads are a very common vector for malware.

In this case they probably target sites that use the SteamID of which steamgifts is only one.

Do you get the same attempted scam when you connect to scrap.tf or barter.vg or other SteamID sites?

They would probably be trying to do a Man In The Middle attack where they would try to trick you into logging into 'Steam' which is really their fake site capturing your login ID & password.

You might email Steam support about it too and/or post in the forums there especially since more than one person says they got the same message.

Been on other Steam related sites, no issues there. Also, so far today no issues on Steamgifts either.

Is this happening using wireless, or some kind of 3G/4G/LTE? If you can, change your DNS. It's likely resolving incorrectly. The default DNS for most ISPs is quite bad with redirects. I personally like OpenNIC

It works normal on my iOS phone but the battery on my Android is dead so I can't check it.

Most Android phones are sitting ducks since well documented exploits last for years because phone companies want to force people to buy new ones so they refuse to let you update.

You can learn to root & update your devices here:

Ads are from the website. Nothing to do with the platform. But if the platform allows a couple of features that can extend the use of ads everywhere, that's messed up.
