Exactly! That's what the sans stands for in sans serif fonts: the serifs are the little lines that make the letters appear to flow together in fonts like Time New Roman. Sans serif fonts are fonts without the little lines, such as Arial: they make the letters clearer but you don't read the words as quickly, so they are traditionally used for headings rather than body text.
I figured that Sans plushy would have to be as far from soft as I could imagine. I didn't know it was the name of a character in a game. I saw jbondguy007's comment about the name referring to the dialogue font. Looking at the images I had wondered if Sans was a grim reaper type character sans-life, or something.

Alright! I love learning new things. Sorry that it wasn't something of more practical use. Never mind, you probably didn't need that old memory anyway. It was probably just a credit card PIN or the sense of inspired wonder you felt the first time you saw a bird of prey hovering or something along those lines. ;-)
