Wow, that's some amazing skills you got. I never played Undertale so I don't know the character but it looks professionally done.

I'd never heard of this character, but I like your work. The hoodie is awesome! I presume you can get that fur trim at the craft shop (or does your neighbour have a cat that now sports a very fluffy mullet topped with a military style crew cut?).

I have a question for you about stuffing these things (I scored a big plush shark but it needs repair). Do you put a zip on it or do you sew it up, and how do you go about making the closure? If you can point me to a website with info, that would be fine - I don't want you to spend all day providing sewing tips on a gaming website.

sorry only cam e back online today.

for the stuffing i use cotton wool specially for stuffing - you can even wash it on low temperature and it should eb availabe in every store that sells fabric and sewing supplies (and it´s not really expensive).

For Fabric i go to a local seller or buy on ebay and amazon, whereever i see something that i may like to use. but beware that the higher quality fabirc you want the more expensive it gets and i think a normal quality one does the job well in most cases (unless it is long fur - go spend some money there).

Zippers are not really an option on a plushy - so you have to sew it back toghether - i use a sewing mashine for the most part and the rest by hand (especially the closing up parts after stuffing) - if you never used a sewing mashine - try on some spare fabric first.

As i learned to sew by making stuff and triing things out - i can´t give you pointers to websites, sorry. But i do make my patterns out of old newspapers - they are cheap and if you got the wrong size making a new one is easy. I just draw them by hand, but i guess that needs a bit or practise. For how to think about patters - just look at what you want to make, for clothes i just imagine how i would go aboput sewing some for myself and then set the patterns.

If you want i am willing to help you repair your plushy, just tell me what you actually plan on doing and maybe a picture of it. then i´ll try to explain as best i can ^^

Thank for all the info. The newspaper patterns are a good idea and I'm impressed that you develop them yourself. I have used a sewing machine before but I don't have access to one anymore, so it is strictly hand sewing for me, which is fine - I've hand sewn leather. The repair I want to do is basically just the finishing part of making a plushy. I have one that has a small split in the seam and has lost some stuffing. I bought some polyester hobby fill but I'm just trying to figure out the best method of closing the seam neatly - I can't see any seams that appear to have been sewn from the outside. I imagine that with cushions and beanbags, they can sew them inside out because there is a zipper, but I don't know any tricks to do this without one. That's the part I can't figure out, so I was wondering if there was some sort of standard practice.

well there is a method, but you need a bit of patience. you practically sew everything together and only after you have set all the stitches you carefully pull them together from one end to the other.

Takes time and and you have to be really carefull so the dtring doesn´t produce knots while you pull.

I see - yes, that is the information I seek. Patience and persistence are not problems for me. If you know of a name for the technique, I'd appreciate it, or otherwise, I'll just fumble my way around google until I get there (as I said, I have patience and persistence).
