So someone just won Dirt 3 twice and this is not the first time I've seen this happen I think it happened with Portal as well.
I noticed the giveaways were seperate people who created them at the EXACT SAME TIME (in minutes).

Do giveaways that involve the same game at the same time mean the same winner?
Let's call this the Kijib Point. The Kijib Point will tip or dip depending on who eneters but not by the person who eneters.

Therefore, every giveaway has its Kijib Point predetermined and the individual consalisus is predefined.

Thoughts?

He's clearly confused. But, yes, I have seen the same guy win the (2 copies) of Dirt 3 as well - they weren't separated ones, I'm pretty sure of that.
something's wrong with the random system?

There's a word we use when random events seem to create a non-random pattern. That word is "coincidence".

And there are functions in a system that can (and should) prevent those coincidences. ;)

Coincidence cannot be prevented.

Eventually, there should be.

Why and how are the first of many questions.

If they tried to "prevent those coincidences", it would mean making the system non-random. Which is exactly what we don't want.

Then the system would no longer be random.

exactly!

by doing that, you would be taking away the randomness from the winner selection :)

Yeah

Oh, I don't know why you're not there

I give you my love, but you don't care

So what is right and what is wrong

Gimme a sign

What is love

baby, don't hurt me

Don't hurt me no more

What is love

baby, don't hurt me

Don't hurt me no more

I think we can trust that cb has made the drawing as random as he can. Coincidences happen.

The only sign of if not being random would be if there were none of these coincidences actually.

:) exactly!

Not necessarily. It would be quite easy to make random drawings which didn't have the same person, simply by removing them from the set before making the second drawing - and that would still be random!

(Of course, since this is an old thread, this probably isn't relevant any more. But I did want to mention it.)

:) that's just probability for you... nothing wrong with the system, on the contrary, it is running as it should.
