Heyooooooooooooo

okay - I know there are probably a thousand of these threads...
But I have no idea of what I'm doing so yeah, if there is anyone who's good with computers.. please - I NEED YOUR HELP!

I've configured a PC and now I am thinking.. does it fit? Does the GPU fit on the Mainboard? Does the CPU fit? Do they work well together?
Does it even fit in the case?
Please - anyone - HELP! XD

These are the specs:
Tower: Sharkoon T9 Value green edition
Mainboard: MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7700K EDIT: probably "Just" an i5-7600k
CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G
HDD: Seagate ST1000DM010 1TB
RAM: HyperX DIMM 8GB DDR4-2133 Kirt
PowerSupply: be quiet! POWER ZONE 750W
Additional stuff: ASUS DRW-24D5MT (CD/DVD thingy)

Please help a non-tech guy D:

Sadly no GA this time - sorry ;(
You see where all my money is going today..

E D I T due to the comments:
Tower: Sharkoon T9 Value green edition
Mainboard: MSI H270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-7600
CPU-Cooler: Alpenföhn "Ben Nevis" (since some said I don't even need one if I don't overblock my CPU anyways lol..)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G

I don't know, just get that !
No, sadly not.
Yes, it does. ( I know what I'm talking about.)

No SSD drive?
Write your budget, it should help us understand what could be upgraded.
Your monitor screen resolution is also important.

I've been fine without SSDs so far...
Mainly focusing on the main stuff that's necessary now - probably getting an SSD later on (when I have some money again xD)

Well, people were living without a car a century ago, they also didn't complain.
I would say (and it's not only me, I follow some PC related forums), that a SSD drive is necessary if you build a new PC, especially a high end one.

Also, I would get faster RAM (unless you will overclock it, then it's ok). People tend to buy 3000MHz with CL16 or CL15, yes they are more expensive, but they add some fps.

Really? Get an SSD. Your whole system is like a car with it's handbrake still on.

shhhhhh fine xD I'll probably go for a i5-7600(k) and add an 120GB SSD

Get an SSD. I thought like you when I built this machine and now I'm regretting it.
HDDs are only good for storage now, if you like to play with chance / volatility.

Plug your parts into https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ to look at compatibility. Lots of other info to find from there. Cheers!

I was thinking that too. OP probably got confused because of the name and the fan.

The PSU is meh. Bronze efficiency rating is crap, I'm surprised Bequiet still makes stuff like that. A 500-600 Watt is more then enough. Go for a Gold or Platinum rated one.
Did you look at AMDs latest offerings? AMD Ryzen is getting quiet good reviews. If you're looking into multitasking (streaming etc) they may be a better option.
Oh, get 2 case fans too if there aren't any with the case.

just for gaming. no streaming, maybe recording, but Nvidia ShadowPlay is doing a great job so far with my GTX650 xD

Save money by going for a Ryzen. Then you can get that 250-500 GB SSD ;)

I'll toss you a few quick thoughts while we wait for the experts:

  1. CPU: an i7 is overkill if you plan to use this PC only for gaming, consider switching to an i5 or to an AMD Ryzen instead,
    • that motherboard is slightly overkill as well, no need to burn money on one of the most expensive models when slightly cheaper ones (even with the same chipset) are more or less the same;
  2. HDD: I wouldn't buy a Seagate drive, they're notoriously unreliable - not to mention 1 TB is a bit low (unless you already own other drives),
    • buy Western Digital (Black or Blue) or Hitachi/HGST instead, and maybe add a 128/256 GB SSD (preferably Samsung);
  3. RAM: 8 GB are quite on the low side nowadays, buy 16 to be more futureproof,
    • also, make sure to buy an even number of sticks for dual channel.

Everything else is fine, but that PSU might be a bit oversized for your needs, you could get one with a slightly lower output but higher efficiency (80+ Silver or Gold) for a similar price. Then, if you can fit it into your budget, you could consider upgrading the GPU to a GTX 1070 or Radeon Rx 480.

Thanks for the answer.
The CPU will be "downgraded" to an i5-7600.
Didn't know about the HDD! I already have an 1TB (15k+ hours runtime) and an 500GB (~25k hours runtime) HDD.
Going for a 128GB SSD and leaving room to probably upgrade my RAM in the future.
I have no idea about the power output so I thought a 750 would be needed. But if 600 is enough I'm going to check for a cheaper one - thank you!

A 128GB may be a bit too small. Win10 likes hogging a lot of space, especially when major updates happen. Modern games that benefit from SSDs for massively decreased loading times often use 30-50GB of space. Check the models, the price difference is often quiet small and there can be major performance and warranty differences between similar models.

Win 7 and 8 don't fully support the new CPUs. You may have to mess around with "hacks" to benefit fully. Of course they'll still work. You may have to read up on that.

Mind that non-K Intel CPUs can't be overclocked, in that case you won't need a third party cooler, nor a Z chipset board.
That would save you a bit of money (~€100) since H chipset boards are cheaper and Intel's stock coolers are fine, and you could pour it into a better GPU or a SSD (256 GB nowadays are quite cheap, there's no way to justify buying anything smaller).
For power consumptions I suggest this calculator: https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

I don't plan to overclock my CPU, thanks for the tip with the board.

Intels stock coolers are terribly loud. Any 20€ cooler is better than them for peace and quiet.

Don't get 7600k, get 7700k if your main goal is gaming it's NOT an overkill. 7600k is not worth it.
Get 16GB of 3000 ram, they're cost practically the same as 2133.
If that 1TB HDD will be the only one, i don't know how will you survive. You need ~3TB these days.
No SSD? Get a 250-500GB SSD for games and a smaller one for OS.
You don't need 750W power supply, be quiet are good, just get 650W.
If you can try to save for 1070.

Everything else if fine.
I know it's probably over the budget, but you can add storage drives later.
