Yes, i know there was some other thread about this already, but who cares, my goal is different. :D

Am i the only one who sees Steam trolling Microsoft by doing that?

Given that Microsoft is making a similiar approach on consoles copying steam (not entirely) and restricting physical copy sharing between costumers of Microsoft, isn't it kinda obvious that this approach by Steam is a troll attempt, similiar to what Sony did @ E3? I do believe Microsoft is getting picked on, not only by Sony, but also by the biggest PC game factor now, EL OH EL.

How much bashing can Microsoft take i wonder? rolleyes

I don't think that this has anything to do with Microsoft's announcement. This kind of feature takes time to design and develop, and I'm sure Valve started on it before Microsoft described what it was going to do.

It's a needed feature for console gaming, and since Valve wants Steam to be your living room console, it was a needed feature. The first thing that came to my mind when Valve announced Big Picture (and I posted about it at the time) was that there's need to allow more than one person to play per account, and sharing is a way to solve this.

We don't know, given that this was found AFTER the confirm announcement on the xbox one policies when it comes to sharing.

I see this as a troll initiative from Steam, indirectly. Hell, it's even about the subject of sharing games with your friends, seems obvious to me.

Everyone with their own opinions and thoughts i guess.

There are countless million at stake there, its not some random forum. Ppl and companies don't(cos they simply can't afford to) just troll for fun or whatever when huge money are into play. At these levels even the smallest decision are carefully weighted for its financial impacts.

This kind of "trollings" are WAY WAY to expensive for some1 to do them.

Do you know what is trolling? Leaking unconfirmed information is far from trolling.

This topic is trolling and spaming in one. Post on this topic has already been created so this topic is meaningless, and show how hard you want to trolling on this forum.

Why are you so butthurt about everything negative that is being posted about the X-Bone? Are you an actual marketer?

And i always say that i would buy PS4? (better hardware)

And no, i don't have butthurt, but why are here on forum about Steam. The biggest DRM deliver on PC, no body say nothing bad about this, and most user here have butthurt about DRM on Xbox. Why? I'm not here the one with butthurt, i don't see nothing bad with drm. But why making secound topic about the same but make ridiculous hypothesis about trolling by Stem, sorry this is just stupid.

I don't see anything bad with DRM once it's done in a way that it doesn't get in my way. This is why I only rarely complain about Steam, and most of those involve other DRM like Games For Windows Live. Microsoft on the other hand would deploy a fucking spy hardware in my room just because I want to buy games. I think it's a pretty big no-no, but hey, if you love being watched then go ahead. And this is only the tip of the iceberg, let's not even get into it...

No, I'd not get a PS4 either, nor a Wii U. I'll stick with the PC, thank you very much. I don't understand why I should choose one above either, really, when they all look bad. It just happens so that the X-bone looks ridicoulously bad.

All in all, I'm just baffled why you're acting so upset in every thread where something bad is mentioned about the new eksbawks. It kind of amuses me to be honest.

Why are you so butthurt about someone not spewing hate on everything he sees? Are you a PS4 marketer?

Point out the butthurt in that post of mine, please. Humour me.

And no, the PS4 is rather uninteresting to me at this point too. I'd choose not to get a new console from the ones announced so far, but maybe that's a bit too extra-dimensional thinking for you so I won't tire your mind with it.

I wasn't the one jumping into one-dimensional thinking first. That's exactly what I was trying to point out.

Microsoft has been bashed to death already, you won't make any difference, and jumping onto someone who doesn't share your views certainly won't resolve anything either.

First off, I wasn't jumping onto his back. It's just that he reminds me of those marketers (both for PS4 and XB1) that go viral and do their job, albeit in a MUCH less subtle way. I just found it to be baffling that someone who probably isn't a marketer acts exactly like one, attacking even threads like this, which are not even centered around how shit the new Xbox is.

And yes, the x-bone has been bashed to death, and that still does not invalidate the fact that it's shit. And to repeat myself, I'm not the one here relentlessly bashing it, hell, I don't even care about the consoles. I'm just calling out someone that does the same to people who even dare mention it in a negative light.

Probably Steam heard people compering between them and the XBOX One DRM, so they thought "hell no! We're much better than them! Quick, we gotta do something unique... borrowing games!"

Probably gonna put a couple hour restraint, that or no one will really buy games, we will all have tons of "Friends' instead...lol.

Maybe the limit would be you could only do it for one per fifty or hundred games you own or something.

That might be to limited.

Probably best to let devs decide actually now that I think about it.

In the angry joe interview, major nelson was bragging that they had a game sharing system whereas steam doesn't. I guess they can't say that anymore if this turns out to be true.
