Sadly I've not been to a gaming convention in ages :( I hope they'll start hosting the one in Stockholm again, because even thought it was small, it was quite nice, but they've had issues finding somewhere to be.

RPC stands for Role Play Convention and is an annual convention / trade fair for role play fans. It's the biggest in Europe and is always late April or early May in Cologne, Germany.
There's something for Pen & Paper players, LARP (Live Action Role Play) fans, video RPG game fans and more. You can buy merchandise, source books, commision and / or buy art from different artists or get things signed by various Fantasy TV / Movie actors and more.

I'm assuming the RPC is in the KoelnMesse? It's been a while since I've been to one of those but I sort of stopped buying books since everything I need is online now.

You're correct, the RPC is in the KölnMesse. One can do (and buy) there lots more than just books, though I rarely leave the RPC without buying some kind of book. Be it an old BattleTech book or a new (or old) DSA Adventure or sourcebook (DSA = Das Schwarze Auge = The Dark Eye).

Second hand books would be a reason for me to visit; I have way too many collections I want to complete.

Depending on where you reside in the Netherlands, the distance to Cologne shouldn't be too prohibitive.
One can find there first and second hand book from various fandoms / systems, such as BattleTech, (A)D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, Vampire The Masquerade, DSA and other smaller ones.

Next Saturday (12.5.18) and maybe Sunday too, I'll be again going to the RPC in Cologne.
