you aren't removed from game giveaways you entered, if you activate this game on steam

IMO manually pressing the sync button should at least autoremove those
-> since it doesn't happen to often and you can only enter a certain number of giveaways

maybe the check could also be done when the winner is calculated -> the first random winner will be checked if he owns the game already so he cannot get it twice

or if you open up the giveaway page -> if I press the remove button on a giveaway on a game I own already it shows -> exists in your account
and not because Ajax reloads something, the element is already there but hidden and it will be shown once you remove the giveaway through an ajax request
-> there could a simple other query that removes the game automatically in such a case and just show the "exists in your account" button

otherwise I understand that there are to many people on here to check all users in intervals -> quite some uneccessary calculations/traffic

I'm not complaining, I'm trying to give feedback to cg here to make the site even better ;)
I love sg and the concept behind it, I'm even trying to contribute to sg++ when I have time

Bad idea, it takes less effort removing entries, than to the creator waiting for Support response.

Nope, I just don't want to "steal" a game, when I miss an entry.
(just got lots of games through the humble bundle, so I had to remove around 10 entries)

Probably because there is no way to know for sg whether you own a dlc already. (Steam has no API/webpage for it)
