I got inspire by the flood of some giveaways that recently apears.

Maybe you can implement a personal ignorelist for every player.
If sombody checks the "ignore"-checkbox and press refresh, than all giveaways the person is not interessted in, are hidden.
Maybe something similar to the already existing functionality "Hiding the Following Games".

Would it be much work to implement that function?

You are right, but that still doesn't excuse the ridiculous spam. There is absolutely no point to it. Anyone can easily grab it for free themself.

Personally, I'd like an official list of hidden titles, so I get 1 page of stuff I can enter, rather than 7 pages with a handful of items each.

Endless scrolling FTW, only one page all the time. :P

Seriously though, I too hope this get implemented natively on the site. Even if you hide the giveaways, you're still wasting bandwidth downloading all of them.

I hate Endless Scrolling when the site is being flooded with crap anyway, because it stops loading half the time.

Haven't you heard? The new way is removing features, not adding them!

OR maybe people should stop acting like a whiny little brat, even if they are that age, and start using google, or at least stop using the forum.

This is uncalled for.

It's been suggested by a large number of users already and would be a very useful addition which we all hope cg gets to implement at some point. Yes, OP could have searched the forum first (may or may not have found the answer) but we can still stay civil.

Sure, they could waste resources/manpower on a feature that is already done buy some1 else instead of focusing on more pressing issues.

I don't think a feature that would reduce the load on the sever by cutting down on bandwidth use is that useless.

It helped a whole lot when cg added the filter for already owned games, and it would help a whole lot more if we could filter the rest as well. It's nice that we have an alternative mean to do it but it would be much, much better if done at the source.
