What wrong is the fact that 1/100 of these topics are legit, the others are hoaxes, scams, trolls. That's the nature of these forums and you would be naive to think that everyone just believes you and throws money your way. It's not how the internet works, because there have been people before you that ruined it. Simple as that, can't change that mentality with a few posts. But you have been told this several times, just take note this WILL happen again.
More reason for doubt is that for most of us here it's very peculiar how someone goes streaming and giveaway keys to support a chronically ill patient. Even if not for the existence of health care or mortgage, there are parttime jobs that will get you somewhere cash wise. I'm not saying you should do any of these things and you might do everything you can to help her. But it makes for a very odd case, that isn't instantly believable.
