Hi guys,
I've been encounter the error "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers" for 3 days, trying every solutions:

  • Clean, Reinstall Steam
  • Restart computer
  • Try -tcp, -clearbeta

Nothing works, i check the connection log and here is what happen:

Is it possible to install fresh Windows/Linux on another hard drive? If it doesn't work on fresh install, it's your ISP.

it just happened for 3 days, before that it still worked well, i dont even know what happen since i dont change anything with my computer

disable any other network adapter keep only the one you are using. also clean registry from steam configuration settings if they exist

disable your house internet and use your mobile phone as wifi hot spot and connect to it, try to connect to steam.

sometimes bad-malware applications like webcompanion block internet connections the worst thing is that AV software give no protection from these kind of apps. best AV you can find is your good behavior on internet

I once use an 'Internet Security' AV that includes personal firewall and it sometimes interrupt Steam connection. I just disable the firewall and use Windows firewall instead and problem solved.

So, this error stops you from even logging into the client at all?
Or just from connecting to store/downloading games?

Yes, it blocks me right from the client.
But i still can connect through web: steamcommunity.com
