I know the elysean fields as a representation of paradise itself comes from greek mythology, but the idea of a planet covered in trash where the people live in mysery and the high class builds a paradise in the sky named Elysium where the protagonist wants to go (for different reasons obviously, but later in the game Rufus wants to do it to save Deponia too) is the same one as in Deponia.

A trailer for the movie Elysium, from the director of District 9, thankfully this looks like another good movie, putting it aside of interesting movies to watch this year next to Pacific Rim.
