I have not played it yet. But from what I've read and seen from various others, friends and randoms...

FPS is atrocious on ps4 and xbox1. 15 FPS. Then CDPR had the audacity to blame the console companies.
Sony pulled the game from their store and offered a refund to every user. This is like one of the hugest names in gaming, for them to remove your game something had to be insanely wrong.
The number of graphical glitches is unacceptable, from signs having "Example Text", to cars sinking into the road and randomly flipping, not being able to sit on motorcycles (Literally standing on the bike while riding around) and various other stuff the "d**k clipping" which was patched, but right out of the box this game was not ready to be played or running correctly.

If this game was working correctly upon release, I have a question, why in one week's time has the player base gone from a solid 1mill+ to barely breaking 500k as of this moment?

It literally doesn't work properly. Why people are defending broken things and attacking others for pointing this out, is really insane.

the game is not broken also the management rush the game out and they did not lesson to developers warnings it is not the developers fault. people want to point that out you cant blindly blame thing or ppl without having all the information, that why some people try to make other understand that this mess was not developers idea it was the management .

also the reason Sony took the game out because CDPR want to give refund and that is against Sony policy that why they took it out complicity Sony never give refund on any games.

all of this problem that you mention we saw in watch dog 2 and GTA they are normal for open world game and that is do not make a good argument also not all people have that issue it might be the hardware issue too

ultimately i think cyberpunk just isnt anything special. theres nothing here that hasnt already been done (talking broad strokes here), and been done better at that. theres nothing nextgen about it, nothing surprising... no extra polish (no pun!) or surprising flourishes - in many cases, ive seen games from 2 or 3 years earlier that felt MORE nextgen or 'wow' than this.

worst of all, i feel like there are many aspects of this game that CDPR THEMSELVES have done better in earlier games.

yeah the graphics are pretty, but i think all the stuff that actually matters is pretty uninspired. everythign this game does has been done better elsewhere.

and as for its ps4 and xbox versions.. its somewhat baffling. There is nothing in the game that warrants it being out of reach of those consoles other than utterly poor development. There are plenty of grand scale console games, plenty of damn good looking games too, many of which push the boundaries more than cyberpunk.

i dont think we'll get much in the way of development of the pc version. A lot of the mechanics that feel half-baked, and worldbuilding that feel missing, will never be added. I think cdpr probably feel how it runs on ps5 and pc are 'almost good enough', so a few bug patches and some light optimisation will be all we get. Most of the effort will be in fixing the ps4 and xbox versions to claw back that massive revenue stream, and then it'll be full steam ahead for the paid expansions. Anyone hoping for a no mans sky level "whoops we fucked up, but we'll turn this around and make something awesome, trust us!' update will be sorely disappointed.

I think what kills me the most is that cdpr knew full well what they were releasing (especially for the ps4 and xbox versions) but they downright EXPECTED that the fandom will be enough so that they could hit that holiday window, and then 'patch it' next year until people gave up and stopped complaining. insulting.

sorry. just got a little annoyed. annoyed that as a fan of their previous games, that this has turned out the way it has. i'll keep playing it. i dont hate it, dont want to give that impression. its just disappointing is all... im sure it'll ultimately be an OK game. But thats just it.. i was really expecting more than "OK". I think many of us were.

just as a disclaimer, im playing this on an upper-end system, so i havent had many bugs (a couple of funny animation and clipping bugs.. one crash), and the framerate is not FANTASTIC, but its good enough that its pleasant to play with everything maxed on ultra. My complaints are not around it being unplayable or throwing a hissyfit over optimisation, its purely about the mechanics of the gameplay experience.

i sure hope so. not because im vindictive, but a message needs to be sent that charging full price for unfinished, broken and misrepresented products that may NEVER be properly fixed/completed (not that this should matter) should never ever be an acceptable business model and its about time publishers were called up on it.

This post pretty much echoes my sentiments as well. The only thing that's not subpar is the story but everything else was seen everywhere already (and in much better form). Most of the side missions resort to "go there and get X" or "find and escort the person out of building".. Funny enough, I started replaying Witcher 3 out of sheer disappointment with Cyberpunk 2077, and even though both games are five years apart, Cyberpunk 2077 still can't hold a candle to Witcher 3 in terms of gameplay, worldbuilding, attention to details, atmosphere and visuals. I really think Cyberpunk 2077 had a lot of potentials but sadly it never went past that on a drawing board

Performance is horrible, bugs are annoying (although I didn't have anything severe yet, just a few small graphical glitches), but the game itself - yeah, it's a lot of fun. I like it.

Loved the game. 100+ hours in my first playthrough. There are issues, no doubt, but the world, the stories are excellent. Cyberpunk has some of the best NPC's and best side-quests I've ever played. Will play again once a few dlc/expansions are out.

66 hours played. One more main quest to do.
Not bored yet and that doesnt happen often.
My character is extremely overpowered though.

the story and lore is the best I ever encountered in a game.
Sidequest are very nice as well, havent found a boring side quest yet (I think I already completed all of them)
Levelling is cool.

Graphics are a bit underwhelming but decent. Performance is good.
Bugs, yep, a few, but never gamebreaking (for me).

Easily top 5 game material ever, and I've been playing games since 1984.
Goty material for me. Never believed the hype, but this one turned pretty awesome to me.
I dislike Keanu as an actor but came to love Johnny Silverhand.

In my honest opinion (which might be clouded by my vast love for cyberpunk), I think the game is good. At this point I've put 160+ hours in the game, and have finished it once. I will wait until all the planned patches and DLCs are out, and then I'll give it another run.

Seeing what others have struggled with mostly on last-gen consoles, I can see where the frustration is coming from. Even on PC more than a few people have encountered game breaking bugs. I might be the lucky one here, but during my playtime I've only encountered a few NPCs putting themselves into T-Pose for a moment, or my car falling out of the map, but nothing game breaking.

What pains me the most though, is that no matter how visually stunning the game is (because you can see the effort put into it to the last stone), how the story is also decent, and how the RPG elements are also great, we've been lied to, and have been manipulated into a huge hype-train... the game has so much missed potential, and lacks so much content that it's absolutely infuriating. Even with those in mind, had I known that the game would be like this at release I'd have still bought it. I had my fun with it.
