Got a new TV stand and put all my old stuff in one drawer

Then I decided to look up values... It seems that NES/SNES prices have taken a huge jump in the past 3 years. All this is worth over $900! Half of that is just in 10 games. Chrono Trigger carts go for $100 nowadays, who knew?

Oh wow! I should go through my old games. Wonder what the first Final Fantasy is worth nowadays.

Edit: Not really that much >.<

Oh wow. I need to go through my game collection. A bit hard to do since they're at my parent's house across the country though.

Well, the games don't really work on my LCD TV, refresh rates make the picture flicker. So I'll be using an emulator if I want to play. Don't really have a way to display them, either. So they're just in a drawer in the new TV stand.

That makes sense.
Why not find a small old teevee somewhere?

Don't really have a place for another TV, and I don't really ever play these. More for nostalgia.

Thats what i was assuming as far as a tv goes.
Isn't part of the nostalgia actually being able to play them from time to time?
Otherwise, why not just take a picture and frame it nicely for the wall?

It used to be that only the rare games had any value, but now some of the popular ones do too.

The Legend of Zelda and Contra both go for $40, Super Metroid $50, FFIII $40

My collection is worth lots...in theory. But the market here is 90% dealers who offer 20% of actual value so they can resell at 120% on a "retro store" website.
