Probably perimenopause related. It's like a bonus possible 12 years of menopause symptoms, but you still get a period. Yay! 😅
Luckily, I got an amazing extra 90 minutes sleep after waking early and reading for 15 minutes. So nice!

Hormones and the fun of it all!
My gf is also discovering the joys of insomnia with perimenopause. She could sleep through an explosion before and now she can't sleep through the night. She gets 4 hours, then listens to music for 2 hours and then she can squeeze in another 2 hours of sleep before the alarm if she went to bed early enough. Yay.
Her doctor recommended magnesium supplements and since it did help with the worst of her PMS migraines before, she's going to give it a try. She's just not chill enough for meditation and breathing techniques 😅
