Slightly off-topic but I hate when Steam handles some packages. Or maybe I should say how some choose to implement the releases. This shows up as not owned for me although I own all the content.

This is really annoying. This happens in some games

Nope, mine are all good, both Steam or Augmented Steam. You should check your extension.

Then, they probably messes up indeed.
Does it show all green for you in the page? https://steamdb.info/sub/281112/apps/
My game is activated as one key for the "Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition" in this page though. Don't know yours.
Mine in this page and in the client itself:

Yeah, mines the same and it's entirely the fault of the publishers. The game has an Expansion Pass as well as a Story Expansion Pass and the DLC we activated only included the appid of the former and not the latter, despite us owning all the content itself. Ideally the Expansion Pass should include the appid of the Story Expansion Pass.

Slight annoyance but still. I'd prefer if everything showed as owned

Shadow of War is basically what Shadow of Mordor should've been. Actual minor amounts of depth. Variety in enemies. A Nemesis system that isn't as weak as it was in Mordor. Plus, it helps that this game has personality too, unlike the first one.

This genuinely is just better in every way.

I agree it's better gameplay-wise, but I felt the plot was weaker and even further away from the books

I always understood that this was a very anti-lore game to begin with? Essentially taking Tolkien's creations and then morphing them for a "cool" game and story?

But yeah, I think the major thing that helped Shadow of War was the fact that things had impact. The events had at least some consequence. Also the characters were just that, characters. They weren't just archetypes that might as well be a note on a table that says the exact same thing.

I understand your viewpoint as well though. Different demos, want different things .D

I've heard multiple times that the end game is very grind heavy. Grind is something I generally hate in games so that's not left me in a hurry to play War. Is what I've heard wrong?

It used to be true, now it's not very grindy at all. Though some minor light grind will come in at the endgame. It used to be bad with the microtransactions. Now they've been removed and when I played, it never got in the way. I also hate grind.

Very good game that i enjoyed playing very much, nice deal for a package with all DLCs. Blade of Galadriel kinda meh as DLC, but Desolation of Mordor was pretty good with new cool upgrades and hero with different fighting approach.

Also available at Voidu slightly cheaper, as usual with alternate stores.

GGDEALS for an additional 15% off

That seems to depend on ones location / currency. For me it's 9,99€ on Steam and 10,99€ at Voidu.
With ~ 1,1€ off via GGDEALS, which for me isn't enough to go through making an account there.

For me the Expansion Pass was only about US$ 0.02 cheaper than the Definitive Edition (after currency conversion). Fortunately I haven't claimed the HB key yet so I just went on buying the Definitive Edition on Steam instead, and keep the HB key for later use, either for GA or for a close friend.

I have the base game from humble bundle. Is it worth to buy DLC for this game?

I'd say it's pretty much up to ones tase but they are pretty short both of them. The stories that is. You also get some additional "tribes" to recruit from and if you're into achievements some of those, on Steam at least, depend on the DLC

What version came with the Humble Bundle? What would you need to buy in addition to get everything?

I still have it on my cart if someone still wants it. I had problems purchasing it for my cousin... getting this error:
"An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed.
Please wait a few minutes and try again.
If you encounter this error repeatedly, please contact Steam Support."
I asked support for help but I thought it will repsond after 72 hours (time I had till the discount expires).. so he bought it himself.
Just got an reply from steam support a few minutes ago saying that they've updated my account.. so now I have 40 hours left for that cart to expire.

They have that error due to purchasing error. They have issue with the payment method. Then they start hanging there, you cant even buy the same product after you remove them from cart. I had that issue during the last summer sale.

Was not even able to effectively contact support because they hide behind a wall. Eventually, was able to wait it out and made the purchases.
Cheers~
