Hello everyone. I'm trying to remember a game from my childhood (90's) without luck, any help would be appreciated. Or just skip my boring memory and go to the gibs.

EDIT:
MaraKalat FOUND THE ANSWER: Seek and Destroy (1996)

If anyone interested in playing:
Since it's abandonware we can share: https://www.emuparadise.me/Abandonware_Games/Seek_and_Destroy_(1996)(Epic_MegaGames)/94791
I've made it work with DOSBOX.

Initial post:

Sorry in advance for any english mistakes, not my main language, learning phase.

So, the game is a military vehicle shooter, where you drive an apache helicopter(gunship) in most missions, and in some levels a tank (this is the game changer here that excludes most likely games).

Missions levels consists in attacking enemy territories and destroy bases/vehicles.
If i can recall correctly, there was a need to collect fuel to keep moving, and maybe more weapons/ammo to upgrade/change.

The game was 2D (Top-down perspective), very similar to vertical shooters. But this category does not apply because you move any direction on the map and can go back to your base to repair or refuel.

The game was probably made in 90's because i've played that time, and the graphics was not that bad. I've played on PC, but the game could run in console as well.

Similar games found while searching for it:

  • Desert Strike (1992)
  • Mass Destruction (1997)
  • Firepower (1988)
  • Return Fire (1995) (thanks to TheCyberDruid)

I've played some of those above games as well, but the one i'm looking for was much more fun to me.

So, any guess!?

Most infos above are most likely correct, but keep in mind there's room for mistake.

Thanks for any guess, and now the gibs:

no =(
But great guess, the gameplay seems very similar. I'll extend my search using this as a reference too.

You had different vehicles in the Desert Strike sequels "Jungle Strike" and "Urban Strike", but they all had this isometric perspective.. nothing else comes to mind right now.

In Jungle Strike you seem to drive atleast other Vehicles, beside the Helicopter.
