Do Private Group reduce CV value?

I am making a private Steam group for our discord server (around 200 members) but the first giveaways will probably only be joined by 10-20 peoples before everyone can get up and ready to link their profiles here and such.

will giveaways inside this private group give reduced CV? on the FAQs it's only mentioned you need a minimum of 5 entries for the giveaway to be accepted. but nothing else.

(also, is the CV listed on this chart calculated before or after the "*" reduced value? https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/r2QFT/tiltify-yogscast-jingle-jam-2021-redeem-the-keys-before-jan-2022-they-might-not-work-after as some of them wanna calculate how many / which games will take to get them to tier 1 :) )

yes I already get one asterisk from all Jingle Jam games even on public giveaways, I was just wondering if when they say like 3.0 CV they meant before or after the asterisk in their table.

as for our steam group then it should not be an issues even if we are under 100 members at first right? as long as we are above 5 we get the same CV as public giveaways. thanks

Adding: how much time does it take from creating a Steam group (and syncing my account here) to have it shown on the giveaway group box? I know it's hard to remember if you made your groups years ago

try manually synchronising with steam.
small arrow in the top right next your pic > sync with steam > giant green button "sync account"

the CV value of GA depends only on game's value and wheter it was bundled or given away for free in the past. Other than that all giveaways yield the same ammount of CV regardless whether they're public, group or invite only.

Entries matter. For public GAs single entry is enough. For group and private 5 entries at least is needed.
