Is Manhunt censored in the EU version?

Hello SteamGifts!

I'm asking this question here because I feel that you're the guys who are experts at this. I want to buy Manhunt to play on my old Windows XP computer before I sell it. Right now Direct2Drive have a discount of 65%, but it's for the EU version. What's the difference between the EU version and the Global version? I live in Sweden, can I only activate the EU version?

If anything EU version should be not censored. Only handful of countries does this nonsense including Germany and Australia. Thou do not take my word as 100% true.

It says in the store description; This title is available for purchase in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.

So both Germany and Austria can activate the key. I live in Sweden, so I can too. But the question still remains, is it censored?

Australia not Austria .. :) My general believe is that if you would be from Germany you would be forced to buy censored version but this one being EU wide can be also activated in Germany.

I'm not from Scandinavia but you guys seem to be heavy on social 'safety' if i can put it this way so it might be censored for you as well. Cant tell you for sure.

Oops misread. Sweden isn't close to the restrictions in Germany and Netherlands, and we're a pretty small country so the developers don't give a **** about a censor just for us.

as far as i know is every manhunt version at least a little bit cut except the adult only version in the us. but this version existed only a short time as digital download, not as a physical copie.
in germany manhunt and manhunt 2 are on the index list b, which means they weren't allowed to sale at all, which means there is no cut german version like with many other games. italy and the netherlands were the only countries which got the most less restrictions on manhunt. i couldn't find something about a eu version, but i would guess it's cut at least a little bit. i'd say go for the uk version, i think thats the best one you coul'd get. but i don't know how to activate it properly...

As far as I know there are two versions that can be activated in Steam, the Global one and the EU one, and the EU one is cheaper. Which one should I get?

From what I can tell from googling is that there aren't any different versions for Manhunt only for Manhunt 2.
