I got 4 keys during the superfight promo before they ran out of keys. I have 2 left and I've asked people I know if they want a key. Got no response from them so now I'm here. Can I trade these 2 keys for some other free games, or does that violate any rules and guidelines?

If it does, then I'll give them to whomever.

You can try and trade them for whatever you want in the trades section as long as you don't expect great offers. You can't gift free games but there are no rules against trading them...

just wondering, why did you get more than 1 key if you are giving em away anyways just like the devs did?

They gave 4 to each person that got to it on time.

They were batch gifting 4 keys like for multiplayer among friends.

Got four working fine, gave away one and used the others. However the game seems quite good so i would suggest trading it

those were beta keys that will be removed from accounts once it leaves beta stage. they should not be traded and only be given to friends. or at least do state its beta key and will not remain on account if you still plan to trade.

edit: apparently i was mistaking.

well i cannot find out on the latest round, but the first round of keys were beta and they were subject to removal upon the release of the game. im also fairly positive i read this when i tried to jump into the latest round of keys, but was just a few minutes to late. i could very well be mistaking on this last set of keys though.

Yes. The first round was beta. Then when the beta ended, they gave away a bunch extra REAL keys. I have an extra of those myself.

You mean mistaken.

Sorry if I'm coming off as that grammar nazi guy, but some people appreciate being informed that they are spelling something wrong habitually, and I mean no offense. :)

I'm pretty sure they are not both correct. I think that mistaking is a present progressive verb. "I'm constantly mistaking Kevin Bacon for Robert Downey Jr." Where in your sentence above, it's not a verb, it's an adjective. The verb in your sentence above is was, and you are describing yourself as mistaking in the present moment, and it might work alright that way, but I'm not sure if it's actually "correct." It definitely looks weird, since the verb forms of mistake always seem to be followed by the thing that is the source of the mistake, e.g. "I mistook you for your sister," so mistaking hanging at the end of a sentence seems wrong to me.

actually the deeper i look into it, it appears that mistaken is less correct then mistaking in this incident. i really do not know though, but am rather curious =) hehe

Preset/Past Progressive (Continuous Form) of Mistake http://www.verbix.com/webverbix/English/mistake.html

punctuation tends to get overlooked, but grammar always attracts attention :D lol

edits: punctuation jk added and brk between sentences ;)

That's mistaken as a verb. You used it as an adjective, because there was no object in your sentence. The only way mistaking would be a present progressive is if you meant "I was mistaking" to be short for "I was mistaking those free keys from superfight to be the beta keys from superfight," in which case you just cut off 3/4 of your sentence, and I don't know why you'd do that.

i'd cut off 3/4 of the sentence because it was fairly apparent and redundant to what had already been said in the other sentence when i properly used mistaking as a verb

sorry if that last sentence sounded snappy or short, i was super tired and just quickly typed up my reasoning and passed out =) lol

Beta was June, the E3 Humble keys were beta. The game had its launch towards the end of July.

Is there sort of some confirmation system when I trade a key with someone? Or do I sent it through a private message via steam after a friend request? This is my first time doing a trade.

no such thing here in sg. you will have to privately talk with your trade partner. i think indiegala's trade section has something like that. either way, check the reputation of your trade partner before deciding if you can trust them

let me make it a bit clearer. first you will have to make a thread in the trade section of SG. wait til you find a victim and from there you can talk privately or continue the haggling in your thread. before finally trading your goods, make sure to take screenshots along the way as proof later especially if you are dealing with expensive items/games.

You can trade it on this site, in the trade section. Barter.vg is also a good place to find trades.

In both cases, once you have agreed on a trade, you will have to do the trade over Steam chat. Make sure you look into the other person's rep before exchanging anything and be prepared to go first since you haven't built any rep yet.
