Just in case anyone wants to add something to the community train which is also in part for Icaio - https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/ulwJV/xmas-community-train-2024-4th-annual-edition-tribute-train-started#gVUXoXt

Considering this train is still perpetually growing, would it be appropriate if I were to create/maintain a table with links to the carts? I'm thinking similar to the traditional Community Train, it'd have a link for every 10th cart. I figure that way it's a bit easier for folks to jump on/off the train as it continues rolling by.

I posted it under the very first comment, so any newcomers to the thread will hopefully see it (please forgive me, Oppenh4imer)

There are no standard end dates (or anything else) on the GAs other than linking the carts. I guess having a link to the first cart that is still active (labeled with end date) would be helpful. And then add/update when that cart has ended to the next active cart down the line.
It has been helpful when they add their carts, they bump it with the cart number's link. A perfect world, they would add the end date to the bump. Theres no rules on this crazy train, so its a bit chaotic with everyone being able to donate/remembrance to Icaio in their own way.

I was just saying in another thread that Real CV ratio and the CV system in general makes people biased against giving away 0CV games.
So many great games have been free for a couple hours years ago and are never seen on SG again!
Icaio knew that a game's value is not about how many points you get from it.

Updated the train schedule to show the new and ended carts!

Hey all. I am going to start by saying that I do not have any more information than what I am sharing in this post.
EDIT: as it turns out, I do have some more information
ANOTHER EDIT, just a quick update
As some of you know, icaio has not been on SG for a while, and he hasn't logged into his Steam profile either.
I posted on his Steam profile a few weeks ago, just a quick note saying I hoped he was okay.
Yesterday I received a friend request on Steam from someone I did not recognize. I didn't see any obvious red flags, so I accepted.
This new friend sent me a message today, saying that they were icaio's cousin, and they saw my post on his profile and wanted to let me know that icaio passed away on September 30.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that icaio was an absolute legend of Steamgifts. His generosity, sense of humor and thoughtfulness came through in every 'showerthinking' post and every 'trash' game giveaway and every time he helped to solve a derailment in the community train.
Before I visited Rome a few years ago, caio volunteered to give me his mobile number so I could ask him real-time questions while I was in Italy. And that's exactly what I did! So we didn't quite get a chance to actually meet in person, but it was fun to chat with him while we were in the same country.
Not much more to say right now. Just R.I.P. to icaio, he will always be a Steamgifts legend.
