adding Defiance to your account gives you 4 free card drops, you don't need to download the game just add it to your library.

only way to get free cards is to buy a pack from steam else u cant add defiance in library unless u dld but the moment u remove it will be gone from library only if u spend money u get cards

No, you are wrong. Defiance does work this way.

Granted, not downloading means using SAM to get the card drops, but money is still not required.

Yeah you just uninstall and it wont show. You can also go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/ and click "Remove" next to defiance once its there.
