Also, I agree, fantastic game. Though I enjoyed the stealth aspects. I thought it was a lot more fun than fighting your way through. I also thought the combat system could use a little work (mostly the melee when too many zombies get close to you). Overall, fantastic game. Easily worth the money.

Er. This is the ending. I wouldn't really call it minor. lol
And no. He was lying.

The thing I love about this ending is that it really brings into question whether what Joel did would really effect the world. How effective would a vaccine even be at this point? Considering how most people are already infected and how difficult transportation is I think that if they had made the vaccine it wouldn't have changed much. Distribution would be near impossible, and would it even be worth it? From the gameplay it doesn't seem like the infected want to infect you, but to kill you, and no vaccine can prevent death. I love how this game really makes you think about what you are doing, it makes you go from thinking you are the hero to thinking that you could actually be causing tons of people to die.

While the infected may want to kill you, it's clearly not uncommon to get infected and not die. In fact, Ellie even gave a list at the end. Riley (her first friend that got infected), Tess, Sam, none were killed by the zombie, only infected. Also, the human race has survived 20 years at this point, I would think it's pretty clear that they'd continue to survive until they were able to get the vaccine out to everyone. I agree that the game takes you from thinking you're a hero to wondering if Joel did the right thing or not, but I don't think there is any question that a lot of people would die due to what he did.

Joel got attached to Ellie. He now treats her like his daugther.

He was lying about that the fireflys were no longer looking for a cure. Hes not lying about the other immune people. There's some recordings in the hospital that say there were other subjects, yet all of them failed. Ellie had a chance for the vaccine because her immunity was much more effective then the other subjects.

Thanks for the info. So its true that they are dozen of immunes. Anyway where is Joel and Ellie going on the ending ? Is it and his daugthers house ?

Sorry for the necro, but just letting you people know that there's a new dlc coming for this game soon, it's the prequel when Ellie was with her best friend and they both got bit. (Before she met joel)
