Hello, I was very happy to win this great game NBA 2k17 but today I had a bad surprise i got a message from steam telling me the CD key has been revoked. What should I do ? thanks

I guess the nice thing to do would be to ask the giveaway creator to have the giveaway deleted. That way you don't have an unactivated win, and the giveaway creator wouldn't have a "not received".

Did you get a key or a Humble gift-link? o_O
If it's the first one, then I guess the reason is that Humble Bundle does not allow to give away keys that you have bought. According to their TOS you have to create a gift-link in order to give away a game, as far as I know. So the only option would be to contact the giveaway creator and he has to contact Humble Bundle imho

Nah, as far as I know, it's never an issue, they may be against it in theory and on paper, but they don't have tools to actually control it. You can give keys away here, you can even sell leftovers if you want, they would never know about it (and I somehow doubt they would actually care even if they knew).

Hmm...I see. Well, I haven't heard about any issue before, where some keys got revoked because of this reason.
But I thought maybe this could be the case here.
But an other possibility is, that it was a second key from the monthly bundle, like Mihey3Z has mentioned below.

It has been activated tho, the key worked when I first activated it, deleted from my account today :/

I believe what you need to do is mark it as not received, as you got nothing and are risking suspension having it marked as such. Inform the creator, and they need to contact support to have it deleted.

As someone else said, you (unfortunately) have to switch it to Not Received, first thing's first. You might also contact the giveaway creator to let them know (it's vaguely possible, though unlikely, that they have a spare key they could give you.)

+1 - guess this is the solution. I gave away a NBA 2k17 key aswell and activated one for myself - luckily the one I activated myself got removed

This was almost surely an extra key from the August Humble Monthly - Humble accidentally sent a ROW and a region-locked key to users during the first hours of the unlock, and later revoked the keys. In the meantime many not-so-honest people either traded the extra keys away on Steamtrades, or sold them on various websites. Some gave them away here, ignoring or being unaware of the obvious soon-to-be-fixed bug.

The giveaway creator seems a bit shady - 0 entered, 0 won, 0 sent, offline for a week; also wrote this:

Got this on Humble Monthly August and i already have it so i decided to give it away

but there is no NBA2K17 in their Steam library?

Not sure how much help you will get since they haven't been online in a week. Better try support?

I wouldn't bother with that. He created the account just to give away that game, and left. I'm not sure what was his point, but i'd just leave it as not received, chances are he will never return again on SG.

Most likely it's the extra unintentional key from HB Monthly.
Mark as not received, contact the creator explaining what happened, its an issue between customers and Humble Bundle

The issue is on the giveaway creator. Mark "not received" and tell the creator.

This happened to me before.

  1. Mark as not received.
  2. Either wait for the creator to contact you or contact them through steam or SG comments.
  3. Decide if they can delete the giveaway (which is what I did) or if they can they can purchase another key if it was revoked.

It happened to me too, I agreed to delete the giveaway because I knew about the HB mistake and if I were the giveaway creator I would appreciate someone to do that.
