Question about Garry's Mod

Heya!

I wanned to ask you guys, does Garry's mod come with all of the HL2 items, or will i get extra items / npc's / cars or what ever if i buy HL2?

Or should I rather buy CSS and Portal 2? Thank you in advance! (also, i do have L4D2, L4D, Portal, Half Life, and Half Life 2: Episode Two)

No it does not come with everything. I recently bought the whole Half-Life Complete pack, and it added in some textures and a vehicle (maybe more, can't remember).

And as for buying other things, do you prefer story, puzzles, or shooting? If you like shooting, get Counter Strike: Source because you can play that and get the textures. Portal 2 is you like puzzles (and if you want the rest of the Portal story). And then if you can, I would recommend getting the rest of the Half-Life games, just to finish the story and get all the textures.

i've already beat all of Half Life games when i was pirate (a long time ago!). now i just want textures for Garry's mod, because i get A LOT of "Error" items when i'm downloading something D: so i don't know which games should i buy D: and is Half Life: episode Two enough to get all the textures from HL2? Thank you.

No I do not think that Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is enough to get the textures. If you want all of them, you will probably want Counter Strike: Source, but I am not entirely sure if you get all of them...

I have no issues now because I actually downloaded the textures from Counter Strike: Source for free a while back, because I figured that it's legal since I'm only getting the textures to fix one game, and I'm not actually getting the game illegally.

But if you want all the textures, I think Counter Strike: Source would be better, because that's the one that can be bought bundled with Garry's Mod.
